Two miles from the small village of Scorriton on the beautiful sheltered and wooded southern slopes of the Dartmoor National Park is Moorside Cottage.

This smart and spacious, detached single-storey cottage is situated off a quiet no-through lane leading to a footpath direct to the open moor.

After a busy day exploring this stunning, rugged landscape, you'll want to come back to your cosy Dartmoor home.

Enter through stable doors into a smart fitted kitchen, through to good-sized living room with three comfy sofas and a wood burning stove.

You can choose to eat either in the dining room or the gorgeous sunny conservatory which looks over the very pretty garden.

There are four lovely bedrooms, a king size double with an en suite shower-room, and a double and two singles which share a lavish bathroom.

Facing south, the cottage garden is private and secluded; children can play on the level lawns while you sit on the sunny terrace or tree-shaded lookout point and take in the stunning long views to the distant sea at Teignmouth.

The village of Scorriton on the Two Moors Way, has a friendly local pub and is close to the pretty town Buckfastleigh, home to the South Devon Steam Railway and Holme.

The River Dart Country Park in 90 acres of woodland, offers action-packed family fun and lovely scenic walks along the beautiful River Dart.

A haven for nature and garden lovers with Dartmoor on the doorstep and interesting towns and the coast within easy reach Moorside Cottage is an ideal retreat at any time of year.

Three miles from Buckfastleigh, the home of Buckfast Abbey, the South Devon Railway, the Buckfastleigh Butterfly Farm and the Otter Sanctuary.
