  • "Property externally did not resemble the photo shown , the woodwork now much darker in colour and requiring restaining."

Inside was fine except for a floorboard which was slightly raised and a possible tripping hazard. Wi-Fi was good but there was no instruction with regards to the sky tv on how to get Freeview channels. The bathroom had no mirror over the washbasin and but there was a full length mirror opposite just left resting against the wall. Toilet paper is not provided. The bed was very comfortable . The kitchen had all the necessary pots and pans and there was a good supply of crockery. All the appliances functioned well. There was a good supply of hot water. There appeared to be no recycling of rubbish and no food waste bags as per the information in the folder. Parking is adequate but very tight for a large car. I have an Audi estate and this just fitted onto the parking space. There was a nice welcoming pack.

  • "This chalet style studio flat is charming with lovely touches to the decor."

The bedside cabinets are fabulous! A lot of imagination has been put into this. The front door sticks a bit and the keysafe is stiff to open. We loved our stay!

  • "Lack of food preparation areas, & cutlery was on the floor."

??.also no freezer to store food. Had an Electric power cut one morning, had to get someone out,? Was sorted before we came back in the evening though. Outside area could of had seats & a small table, would of been nice.

Thank you for your comments. The accommodation is only marketed with a fridge not a freezer. We were pleased to assist you with returning the power. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "It was like staying in a cross between a log cabin, a beach hut and a tree house and we absolutely loved it."

All the comforts..great bed..great kitchen..tv and sofa but the feeling your away from it all. Situated down a quiet one way lane but still walking distance to a great country pub and a nice walk into Lyme Regis along the river bank. Treat yourself to a break from the norm and stay at this wonderful quirky barn find.

  • "We had a lovely four-night stay at this quirky, cosy studio apartment."

The Lyme Bay website doesn't do it justice. It was intimate yet spacious; wonderfully peaceful, especially at night; and the facilities, from the kitchen to the bathroom and the 'chilling' area were first class. And it's even got a car parking spot! A perfect romantic bolt hole for a couple of middle-aged romantics! When can we stay again!!

  • "Plates and cutlery need upgrading, as some are chipped and worn."

Lack of coasters have resulted in bed side cabinets being marked since we stayed there last year. Outside of property now needs wood staining as looking tired.

  • "We couldn’t get the top oven to work."

Also the key lock is in a difficult place and this makes reading the combination numbers difficult. If I was really picky I would ask for someone to replace the clock battery. Other than that we had a great holiday. The location is great and we particularly enjoyed the river walks down to Lyme Regis. If you are considering future developments I would consider upgrading the bathroom with a shower. Oh and fix the front door so that it opens without sticking on the threshold. Just details and they didn’t really affect the holiday which was very enjoyable. Happy to recommend Glen Lion to our friends!

  • "Big problem for us was the hand held shower coupled with no shower curtain to contain the water."

Plus no grab rails to assist in getting in and out. Total lack of blinds in roof prevents any blackout effect a minimum requirement. The shelf over the sink was a menace. As you lean forward to wash up your forehead hits it every time. Move it to the right there is plenty of room. The picture of the property was misleading showing a new well presented exterior not the well weathered exterior we now have. Also the picture had all the right angles, the reality once the car was parked there was no space to even sit outside

  • "Hi, I wasn’t able to travel and the cost of moving the dates meant it was possible to find another date without paying nearly 60% of the original cost in rebooking fees!"

I paid nearly £500 so £500 pure profit for yourselves!
