  • "The property is ideally situated just a two minute drive to lidl supermarket and ten minutes to tesco."

There is also a co op a short walk away. It's also about a ten minute walk to the harbor where there are plenty of places to eat and have a drink. There is plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. The property was clean and tidy and the only downside is the furniture and flooring downstairs is rather tired and could do with replacing at some point in the near future.

Dear Guest, Many thanks for your review. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay overall. The area is beautiful. I am aiming to install a new kitchen and flooring in the near future. kind regards, Owner of Hollisan. Property Owner

  • "We should have stayed for 5 nights but didn't even stay for 1!"

! We found somewhere else instead. Poor standard of accommodation, grotty, out dated, ants in the kitchen, no WiFi...the list goes on..

  • "The property requires a thorough deep clean, it was very grubby throughout and the kitchen was equipped with very cheap and mismatched equipment, literally thrown into the cupboards."

The bathroom taps and shower requires a good limescale remover, and the flooring is unsightly as there is a gap between it and the bath panel. The courtyard could be a lovely space but is very poorly maintained, weeds have been allowed to grow round the outsides and there was also dog mess left on the alcove ledge from previous lets. We were very disappointed, the property seemed very unloved and poorly maintained throughout. The space is adequate for a holiday, but the property really needs some love and money spent on it.

Dear Guest, I was very sorry to read this review. I have recently stayed at the property and I cannot understand how you found it to need a deep clean. The cleaning team were also baffled. I have seen to the lower bath panel situation and will look to getting a utensils holder for the kitchen area. I personally feel that the plants in the garden add to the courtyard and I cannot understand the comment about the dog mess. I had stayed myself the previous week and I do not own a dog. I will however mention all of this to the cleaning team to see if they can make any improvements. I am also aiming to install a new kitchen as soon as it is possible although again I think it is of reasonable condition. please note that if you are dissatisfied with anything at all then the Management company will see to this straight away. The contact details of this were left in the property. kind regards, Owner of Hollisan. Property Owner

located in a central and convenient area of Ilfracombe, close to shops, restaurants, and other amenities. It's also within walking distance of the harbor and beaches.

Hollisan was lovely - the only suggestion I would make (and I appreciate we were in a particularly hot period) is that some more fans would have been good, the bedrooms are quite small and there was only one small fan, sleeping was pretty hard in the hot weather

Dear Guest, thank you for your comments. I have taken on board the need for more fans and will supply more as soon as I next visit the property. King regards, Owner of Hollisan. Property Owner

  • "The property is beautifully located and is very clean and tidy."

We were a family of 2 adults, 2 kids and a dog and this property worked beautifully for us. Whilst I would definitely recommend this property to future travellers ...I would request the property to, in the minimum leave a few spare cleaning items. There were no dishwasher tablets, no spare bin bag, no washing up soap for dishes either. I've left the property some dishwasher tablets...for future use...but the dishwasher is out of salt and rinse aid. It would also be good if you left some basic kitchen items for use...e.g sugar, salt, pepper. Ilfracombe is a beautiful town and the property is quite nicely located (easy walking distance) to the high street and co-op so it's easy to buy anything that is needed anyway.

Dear Guest, I was pleased to hear you liked the location of the house. Many thanks for your useful feedback. I can look to including the cleaning items mentioned in your comments. Kind regards, Owner of Hollisan. Property Owner
