  • "A very well kept cottage where everything is clean and works well, also well equipped with everything you need."

The owners were easily contactable and gave us all the info we needed for a relaxing holiday. Having Sky TV helps with the days when you don’t fancy going out. Good location for exploring Somerset and Dorset. The Sykes website shows the wrong location for the cottage, it’s on the opposite side of the road (if you’re searching for it in the dark!)

Thank you very much for the fantastic feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your holiday. Property Owner

  • "A quirky property with the sitting room upstairs with lovely views and fresh air via large Velux windows."

Plenty of parking. Excellent kitchen facilities. Central to lots of interesting towns, National Trust properties, theatre and walks.

Thank you for your wonderful review, we are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in Somerset. Property Owner

  • "Our stay at Dalegarth was very disappointing."

The cottage description is misleading when it says Dalegarth is within Ilton village that is some distance away. Instead it stands on the edge of a surprisingly busy B road. Less than a mile away on the other side of the cottage is the Ilminster bypass. Excessive road noise from both roads meant that the location of Dalegarth is not ideal for a relaxing, peaceful holiday, quite the reverse. The cottage itself was clean and well equipped. I regret having to write this review but when I choose a holiday cottage, I rely on honest reviews.
