  • "Amazing holiday home."

We had such a wonderful week. The place was amazing. The children loved the hot tub and the grounds were great for the dogs. Mandy was super lovely and helpful. The beds were so comfortable. All in all, a fantastic week away.

  • "Lovely house however a little cramped when we had a full house with all bedrooms filled."

    Mr LovellSep 2019

  • "At the end of every day of exploring it was great knowing we were going back to waterside to chill out and relax in comfort, whether inside or out."

Or a nice soak in the hot tub.

    Mr AllportMay 2019

  • "Wonderful property clean tidy and everything you could need."

    Amanda so helpful as always.

  • "We had a great long weekend at Waterside."

The house is ideal for a family get-together or celebration. Mandy was great in making sure everything went perfectly and the fresh bread from her local bakery went down a treat. The house is in a great village location, close enough to the main roads to get about easily yet secluded enough to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding countryside. The gardens were beautifully kept and the hot tub was a great bonus even in November. (Don't forget flip flops to run between house and hot tub). The house was spotlessly clean, very well laid out with plenty of space for 8. It’s very modern and tastefully decorated with all mod cons to make your stay really comfortable. Within a 5 minute walk is a great village pub, ‘The Ley Arms’ who do a fantastic Sunday Lunch and some really good local ales. Would highly recommend it. Overall, it’s a great place to stay. We couldn’t fault it and would definitely come back.

  • "Accommodation was absolutely amazing and more than what we anticipated!"

Everything within the property was well thought and of high standard even down to the pots and pans available to use. Mandy our host came to see us with fresh bread and to talk through some points about the house and answer any questions we had. Will definitely be returning!

  • "It was a very accessible property which was what we were looking for."

The layout and design were high spec and the design and decor were lovely. The only thing we would have changed was for one of the easy chairs to be higher as they were all quite low which was difficult for out Mum. The owner, Amanda did offer to source one for us but we had brought some camping chairs so we said Thank you but we can manage. She really could not have been more helpful and the fresh bread she brought to us was lovely. We had a fantastic family holiday and would highly recommend Waterside as a venue.

  • "The description and photos exactly matched what to expect."

A very high standard of fittings. Plenty of room for all of us. Very comfortable. Lovely location on the country with a pub just up the road. Nearby lovely seaside towns of Teignmouth and Dawlish plus just a few minutes from Exeter. Also the owners are very pleasant and helpful. This is probably the best cottage we have had over the years.

The property was very spacious and toddler friendly we would all happily return to Waterside at some stage. Thoroughly recommend it

The property

On the edge of the very pretty village of Kenn, 350 yards from the pub, is Waterside; an immaculate, single-storey family home with a private hot-tub.

This excellent house, in a rural valley, has tranquil views over meadows to a willow fringed stream.

Newly renovated and carefully modernised Waterside has been beautifully refurbished with modern linens and colours and an eye for detail, creating a light and welcoming space in which to relax.

Designed to appeal to two families, there is a beautifully styled open-plan living area at each end of the house.

The largest has a bespoke kitchen with dining table and benches seating 8, comfy leather sofas, a wood burning stove and two pairs of sliding doors to the terrace and garden.

The second living area has a smaller, attractive fitted kitchen with breakfast table for two, a large L-shaped sofa and huge picture window.

Between the two reception rooms are four bedrooms – three king-size double rooms, each with their own en suite shower-room, and a family room with a king-size double bed and an additional sofa bed.

To the front of the house is a large grassy meadow sloping gently down to the bubbling stream (unfenced, small children beware).

Behind you'll find the private hot tub with a pergola, decked terrace and table and chairs.

Just six miles from Exeter and close to the Exe estuary there is plenty to see and do nearby.

The 3,500 acre Haldon Forest Park, Powderham Castle/gardens are within a 10 minute drive, or for fun in the sun why not try the sandy beach at Dawlish Warren or Crealy Adventure Park.

Sure to please the whole family, Waterside is a luxurious base in a brilliantly accessible area for exploring the coast, country and city or for simply enjoying time with your loved ones in beautiful, rural surroundings.
