Tasty welcome pack of cream tea and wine was well received and very thoughtful. Would thoroughly recommend this property and would be happy to return. Location good for exploring the North Devon.

  • "Great to still find rental properties that are dog free to rent, more and more properties accept guests with dogs which can leave an unpleasant odour ( the dogs not the guests ) This property was fresh and clean."

    I would definitely return.

  • "This was one of the best cottages we have stayed in."

Very comfortable and cosy. Brenda and Ian made us very welcome, and having use of the 2 acre garden was a bonus as was the display the peacock often put on for us! It was a convenient base for exploring the area. Dating from 1450 the cottage has steep stairs which some might find difficult.

  • "A lovely area which we enjoyed exploring and we may return as we didn't do everything we wanted to."

We would have liked more relaxing outdoor seating in a sunny spot. Also one or two more mirrors and better reading lights would have been nice.

  • "A perfect cottage in a perfect part of Devon."

Arrived to find scones and cakes and a warm welcome from Brenda. The house had everything we wanted and to be honest no wifi is a blessing so you can at away and switch off. Unfortunately perfect 4G mobile service meant work could still Find me! So much history in the house and surrounding area, would be good to have it written down in a welcome pack? On our exit we packed up and went to spend the day on Croyde. Brenda texted us to say we'd left something, she then drove out to Barnstaple to meet us rather than us making a 45 min journey back on ourselves...amazing service and can't thank her and Ian enough. Brilliant throughout. Thanks
