The lodge is beautifully done, well maintained and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Naomi welcomed us when we arrived and provided a really nice welcome pack. The location is great too for exploring the Jurassic coast and south Devon, Dorset and Somerset. We thought the nearby road might be a problem, but it is far enough away for you not to notice it. We'd stay again if we visited the area.

The owner was easily contactable but not intrusive. Although the lodge adjoins the owners property it felt very private. Great location for exploring east Devon. We found the local pub, The Old Inn was well worth visiting for very good quality food, reasonably priced. We would recommend Cherry Tree Lodge for a holiday.

We have had an excellent week at Cherry Tree Lodge, which is well placed for exploring the area The coast line is predominantly high pebbled beeches, but good walkways and plenty of seating at each resort Seaton Tramway was a good day out and the wetlands was wonderful with an abundance of wildlife The lodge itself was a quiet and comfortable retreat at the end of the day Plenty of place to eat out, but everything needed if you wanted to self cater All in all an excellent find, exactly as the photos and very comfortable

  • "Can’t really fault this rental."

Owners friendly and helpful and welcoming. Location quite, rural, but not too far from main roads and larger town. Spacious parking adjacent to the rental. Spotlessly clean. Comfy sofa and bed. We’ll set-out kitchen that is a kitchen diner/ living room style, so your not segregated when cooking. Price very realistic. Not that anything needs changing, but if I could make it perfect, I’d add a washing machine, a decent footstool as the puff was too low. Rugs by the bed, so that’s it’s nicer on your feet to get out of bed. A kitchen towel would have been useful and more than 4 plates etc that would have saved me putting the dishwasher on everyday. But honestly I’d happily return with it exactly the same.
