"Fixit Cottage was lovely, clean and well kept with everything we needed for our holiday, including a warm welcome from the owners, Beni and Jonathan, who provided a lovely cream tea and beautiful flowers on our arrival."
The cottage was wam and welcoming and the swimming pool was fab. We enjoyed the games room too, but the pool table was not that level which was a bit of a disappointment, although Beni did say that she would sort this out for future guests. Overall, a lovely holiday experience in a beautiful part of the country.

"We had a wonderful stay at Fixit Cottage."
It had everything we needed, was comfortable and the owners were very welcoming and friendly. The cottage is well laid out and the newly refurbished kitchen was a bonus and very well equipped. The swimming pool was a big hit. We were lucky enough to have the pool to ourselves and it was a lovely way to relax after a day exploring this beautiful corner of Devon. We will definitely visit again and stay at Fixit Cottage.

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at fixit cottage."
Greeted and made to feel welcome by Beni the owner with delicious cream tea on the table and fresh flowers. So peaceful, comfortable and relaxing with super king beds and lovely lounge. Lovely outside sheltered seating area with barbecue. Just out of town but in the countryside down private lane.
Would thoroughly recommend it with added bonus of lovely free indoor pool and various health facilities in the farm outbuildings, and fishing lake too!

"Fixit Cottage was warm and welcoming and we really enjoyed our time."
The pool was great and the kitchen very well equipped - from scales to a garlic press! The shower was hot and strong and easy to control and the beds were comfortable. The sofas perhaps not quite so comfortable and the television channels were limited - a Freeview box would be better than a Sky box without the viewing card because it would give you far more choice. But we would definitely recommend this cottage.

Jonathon and Bene were wonderful hosts and the scones and flowers on arrival were a thoughtful touch. The location of the farm was ideal - close to the main roads to get out and about, but sooo quiet once you were home. Would highly recommend if you’re heading to Devon.

"Perfect holiday home for our family of 3!"
Beds were comfy, both bathrooms were great and the shower pressure was fine too!
Kitchen had everything you needed, the only thing we said is that a couple more pint glasses would have been good.
Cottage has its own parking space and a small area outside the house.
We used the pool most days which really was an added bonus to our holiday.
The location is one of the best things - literally a couple minutes into Kingsbridge and 15/20mins to Salcombe or Dartmouth with some beautiful beaches.
We would highly recommend!

"Beni was very welcoming and was on hand if you needed her."
She replied promptly to any queries I had prior to arrival . The huge scones were delicious and the welcoming flowers were beautiful . I loved waking up to the sound of birds and the occasional distant sounds of cows mooing . Everything we needed was available in the house, and it was nice sitting on the veranda enjoying in the evenings .

"We had such an amazing holiday."
We loved the cottage: clean, comfortable, great facilities. The hosts were lovely, left us to ourselves but when we chatted, they were so nice. The swimming pool is amazing, we used it every day. So lovely to have a pool to yourselves, our 7 year old really increased his confidence swimming. There are so many nice places to visit nearby, too many to mention. If you like to do a bit of exercise on holiday, it's great to have the gym and there are some extreme hills for running!

"An excellent cottage in a lovely setting."
Excellent on site facilities (eg swimming pool) and very convenient to Kingsbridge. The owners are very helpful and accessible. Well equipped kitchen. Two minor points: Upstairs bedroom mattress good, but downstairs mattresses rather soft. A tray to take tea/coffee to the upstairs lounge would be useful.

"We spent a fabulous week at Fixit cottage."
The cottage was well appointed, with everything you might need, it was very clean on arrival. We were greeted with fresh flowers and a delicious cream tea.
The indoor pool was excellent, very clean and a great size, my children loved the games room too. We found lots of excellent beaches, we really enjoying mooching around Kingsbridge too, there are lots of great local shops.
The owners Beni and Jonathan were both very friendly and incredibly helpful during our stay.
We would definitely recommend Fixit cottage, in-fact we hope to return.

"The owners were extremely charming and helpful but it was such a shame that the cottage itself was a bit tatty it could have done with a fresh coat of paint especially on rusty radiators and walls and some of the furnishings were very tired ."
My husband burnt his hand badly on an oven glove that disintegrated on use . A small bit of tlc would have made this cottage lovely instead of just okay as it is in such a lovely setting and the use of the pool was a bonus. We also felt that it would have been useful to warn us that certain mobile networks had no connection such as EE
Thank you for your feedback and for you kind comments about the owners. We are sorry that the Cottage didn’t meet your expectations on this occasion.
The property is decorated on a regular basis and furniture is replaced as and when required. As you can appreciate, it is difficult to redecorate during the busy season with only a few shorts hours in-between guests for changeover and so occasionally there may be very minor signs of wear and tear, but these are the first comments we have had to this effect.
A worn oven glove must have been put in the Cottage by mistake during changeover, for which the owners apologise. As you know, they live on site and all guests are encourage to go to them with any concerns. In this instance they would have replaced the oven glove immediately if they there was an issue.
Mobile signal can vary between each network provider, and coverage can change, but the property does offer free WiFi and there is a pay phone located by the swimming pool to help alleviate any issues. We are always happy to answer any queries about the property in advance of your stay.

A welcoming cream tea on arrival, fresh eggs & even taxiing us down to a local pub the Churchhouse Inn for a delicious meal.

Cream tea on arrival .and even a dozen fresh farm eegs .only downside was the rain every day .but managed to go fishing once for two hours .had two six pound carp .about fifty roach .and four break .one a chuck .5 * .

A fabulous stay.
Very hospitable and friendly hosts - fresh flowers and cream tea on arrival, with convivial conversations as paths crossed.
Comfortable cottage; would have appreciated a radio or cd player, but such a petty point. Lovely swimming pool. Everything set in a tranquil, but active, farm in a quiet valley.
Lots to see and do in the area. Would love to go back to Fixit Cottage and Devon.

The Hen House spa is great - we enjoyed a wonderful massage there, and the cream tea on arrival in our cottage was a lovely touch.

"This is a wonderful cottage with great facilities."
Our kids made daily use of the indoor heated pool and we used the gym as well as massage treatment on site. You couldn't ask for more in terms of facilities and location (v near to loads of beautiful beaches and coves). Hosts were very friendly and approachable yet left us to our own devices. Lovely welcome on arrival of fresh flowers and cream tea. Only slight criticism if i had to think of something is being a high ceilinged old building there were a few hard to reach cobwebs and two single beds pushed together for mummy and daddy were a bit of a challenge! This certainly did not dampen our trip though and overall would highly recommend this place and would love to return!

"Brilliant week at fixit cottage."
Cottage is exactly as described and was just perfect for our week away. We had two 9month old babies with us and the living room area with a great stair gate was perfect for the babies to play when the weather wasn’t great, the swimming pool is a great addition too. If your a fisherman the on site lakes are great, especially if you are only able to complete short sessions like I could.
The cottage is in the perfect location for exploring the south hams, kingsbridge and salcombe

"We had a wonderful time staying in Fixit cottage."
Its a great location for exploring South Devon. The cottage is in a really quiet location surrounded by beautiful countryside and lovely walks. The pool and games room was great for our kids (4 and 6) on rainy days. My husband and I were able to tag team using the gym / beauty room in the evenings which was an added bonus. Jonathan and Beni were great hosts and made us feel very welcome and at home.

The enclosed garden was perfect for our toddler and she loved watching the tractors go by! The pool was a great bonus too. Beni was very friendly and welcoming and we would definitely recommend Fixit cottage and hope to return!

"People need to be aware that the swimming pool shuts at 8."
00 pm.
Pets are not allowed on the premises at all. Not even if you book them into kennels over night, and you want them to go in the garden while you get ready.
People also need to be aware that this is a working farm, so guests need to be aware that they may get working up at 6.30 am as we did, by the farmer moving his cows around, or by barn doors slamming etc which also woke us up.
