"We had a fantastic time."
Would highly recommend to all. The pictures of the Moorings were a true representation. In fact the rooms seemed larger than they look in the pictures. The views are amazing and the sun was on the balcony most of the day and until late into the evening. The kitchen had everything you could possibly think of and more. We will definitely look to book again.
Thank you for your feedback. It is great to hear how you enjoyed Moorings and look forward to welcoming you back soon. Property Owner
"Amazing place to stay."
The view from the house is stunning. Very clean and well maintained. Enough space for the large group that we were. Took some time to find the place as it’s not on google maps. Small shop a short walk away that has all the essentials. Short ferry across to Dartmouth that runs very frequently gets access to larger shops, restaurants etc. Only issue was the boiler had an issue on the last 2 days and we lost cold water. We could contact Sykes at odd hours which was good. We had to check out before it could be fixed so had to take a cold shower before leaving. But given it’s the summer that was ok and we were given more time to check out. Overall would highly recommend.
"Excellent property and the best view in Devon, a real treat to wake up to life on the river."
A wonderful house Foolishly we left on the kitchen counter a box of beers, port and special single malt whiskey which was a present. Would we be able to collect from somewhere ? Where would it be stored now please. Please could you acknowledge this request and get back to us. email@example.com
Dear Sally, We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay at Moorings and thank you for your glowing comments. The view was one the key reasons we chose the property and agree about it being the best view in Devon. Coast and Country should have been in touch with you about the items you left behind. Thank you, Michael and Heather Property Owner
Been coming to Kingswear for a number of years with an increasingly sized family! Moorings also allowed us to bring grandparents who brought me here as a child. Such snd amazing experience. The house it’s self was perfect. Finished to such a great standard, perfect for my young children. From the llarge beautiful kitchen and terrace, comfortable lounge and luxurious beds, it’s finished to such a high standard. Thank you so much and we very much hope to come again
Dear Ben, great to hear you enjoyed your stay at Moorings and thank you for your enthusiastic comments regarding the quality and comfort of Moorings. Looking forward to welcoming you back soon. Michael and Heather Property Owner
"This is an outstanding property with amazing views over the river to Dartmouth and the Royal Naval College."
Comfortably furnished with lovely decor, this property has everything you could need for a relaxing stay. The large lower balcony is perfect for spending the time watching the world go by on the river. Dartmouth itself is easily accessible via the lower ferry, and shops and supermarkets a short drive away. We will certainly return.
Dear Catherine, Thank you very much for your very positive comments. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back soon. Michael& Heather Property Owner
"Very pleased with the property and would look to stay again in the future."
Very well equipped comfortable and great beds. Who needs a tv when you have a constantly changing picture out of the windows? Shame it wasn't a lot warmer so we could have made use of the balcony.
"What a fantastic property."
Glorious views great facilities great location. We will be re booking for 2023 for definite.

"Moorings is a wonderful house."
Yes, there are lots of stairs, and it’s at the top of a steep hill, but the views from all rooms are magnificent. There is always something to watch on the river. It was a pleasure to be away from the very busy Dartmouth. The house is decorated in a restful style. It was sad to leave at the end of our holiday.
"Lovely accommodation and some of the best views in the country."
Was a super place to accommodate six adults and one toddler. If you get the weather the balcony gets the sun all afternoon and the pub down the road does nice food. The hill is steep so can be difficult for anyone with mobility issues but it is worth it for the views. Would love to come back to the house again in the future
"We would definitely stay again!"
Views are exceptional and the house has been done to a high standard. We loved waking up to the sight of the harbour everyday and eating our meals on the balcony. House is well equipped including board games so any rainy days are covered too.
"Lovely house and great location."
Main bedroom had the most amazing views.
"Stunning location, modern, spacious, parking available."
The house is finished to a very high standard and with one of the best views in Devon, you can relax in a very very nice place for your holiday.
"A lovely, well designed, comfortable home with everything thought about for a real home from home."
Rather tardis like because it looks quite ordinary from outside the front door but has been refurbished to a very high standard. The views are fabulous and the top en suite bedroom is particularly stunning. There are quite a lot of stairs but this is Kingswear and steps add to the charm. Parking is normally fine which can be a problem lower down the hill, (although the road was closed for part of our stay for resurfacing ). It is a bit of a ‘keep fit’ walk back up the hill but we definitely look forward to staying again!
"Wow the view is amazing from The Moorings."
The property itself is beautiful & nicely fitted out. Home from home - just what you want these days. It’s very easy to get over to Dartmouth on the passenger ferry & if you go over a few times buy a book of 20 tickets, as these cost £11.50 versus £1.50 each way. My parents loved the property too but being in their 70’s & 80’s found the master bedroom stairs very challenging & opted for the double room on the 1st floor. They also had to take the long route down to the train/ ferry (30 minute walk) as the quick route was far too steep for them. We loved the Steam Packet Inn so definitely try this when you are there, it was so good we went 3 times in a week. Great pizzas, excellent starters & a small selection of delicious fish - booking is a must & u have to pay a deposit. Thoroughly enjoyed our week & would return to The Moorings it is perfect for a family holiday by the sea. We also tried the sea Kayaking & would recommend this too.
"The house was great."
Location fantastic with amazing views. All the instructions were clear. The house was both functionally perfect and also homely and the perfect base from which to go exploring the beautiful countryside around. Only slight issue was around parking and I can imagine that at the heart of the summer it could be a nightmare...
"What a spectacular view and the house itself was exceptional."
It had all the facilities we could have asked for, and very comfortable beds. The top bedroom is probably not ideal for taller people due to sloping ceilings in bedroom and shower. The downside is the parking. We never managed to park outside the property as a car was parked permanently outside the front door which is a drawback if you have small children/shopping in tow.
