The property

You will find Morocco House tucked down a pathway away from the road, amongst the historic old buildings in the highly desirable village of Kingswear, just a stone’s throw from the River Dart.

Accessed via 20 steps from the road, the position is sublime just a few paces from the ferry that will take you across the river to the quaint cobbled streets of the maritime town of Dartmouth, the Jewel in Devon’s crown.

A hallway leads you into an open plan living space, with a modern well fitted kitchen that wraps around a corner at the far end of the room.

Equipped with all you could wish for, entertaining and meal times will be a breeze where friends and family can gather around the centrally placed dining table.

The sitting area is arranged around a wood burning stove, for those winter nights where hot toddies are required, and the views from the window will remind you of your wonderful coastal setting.

Three effortlessly stylish individual bedrooms are each on different floors and benefit from magnificent views across the river to Dartmouth.

Dressed in hotel-quality linens with deep luxury mattresses, soft white bathrobes, fluffy white towels and heavenly scented toiletries, you can be assured of absolute comfort.

A laundry room is on the first floor and a family bathroom on the second floor.

On the ground floor, there is a useful wet/cloak room with shower for muddy paws or sandy toes.

The garden is separated from the property, just a few paces away along the pathway.

Enclosed however shared with a neighbour who is rarely in residence, the garden has a seated patio area and lawn and is the perfect place for family barbecues whilst you take in the river vista and enjoy watching the glamorous craft that sail in and out of the marina.

The owners arrange parking in the nearby Marina carpark.

Kingswear has a little post office store and a pub/restaurant, however most will head across the river to Dartmouth that will fulfill all needs in terms of shopping and eating out, with the streets lined with cafes and fine restaurants.

There is so much to do in this area, whether you stroll along to Dartmouth castle, hop on a ferry cruise up river or take the steam train along the coastline to Torbay.

For long sandy beaches the Blue Flag beach of Blackpool Sands, sheltered by trees and tall cliffs is just 3 miles from Dartmouth where you will find the Venus Café, watersport tuition and hire.

Golfers will enjoy a round at Dartmouth Golf and Country Club and for family fun a day at Woodlands will please all ages.

Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blackpool Sands and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular sandy beaches are a stone's throw from Dartmouth.
