Southmead Cottage is a delightful end-terrace cottage, hidden away in the stunning hamlet of Lettaford.

This medieval hamlet is made up of just five properties which sit in the heart of Dartmoor, providing lovely moorland walks and activities for all the family to enjoy.

Upon entering the charming cottage, you step through a small porch, ideal for kicking off your muddy boots before entering the contemporary styled cottage.

In here you will be welcomed to a brightly-decorated kitchen with a formal dining area.

From the kitchen, follow the five steps up to a tranquil sitting room with an electric fire and an elegant family bathroom, designed with a marble effect.

Completing this area is a charming double bedroom, featuring a king-size bed and ample space, perfect for relaxing of an evening.

Located on the first floor are the further two bedrooms, with charming overlooking views of the farmland, comprising of a bunk bed room and a spacious king-size double with an en-suite shower.

Outside, you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee on the rear garden area, complete with furniture and charming rural views.

The cottage sits on a bridle path which takes you directly onto the High Moor, where you will discover miles of wild, open moorlands, rich with history and wildlife.

Walks include High Above Okehampton and Bellever and Laughter Tors.

If you are visiting with younger guests, then a trip to the Miniature Pony Centre just a mile away is must.

For provisions, restaurants and excellent shopping, the cottage sits near the picturesque market town of Moretonhampstead which can be located within a 10-minute drive from the cottage.

A picturesque town at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park in Devon. This pretty village houses a church, pub, shop and an impressive golf course situated at Bovey Castle. Moreover, North Bovey is the perfect base for a walking holiday, with miles of wild, open moorland to explore. Must see places includes Postbridge, which lies in the centre of the National Park, where you can take a short walk to visit one of the best examples of a clapper bridge, making this a great location to explore the area’s archaeology. Further afield is Canonteign Waterfalls and Country Park, where you can discover England’s highest manmade waterfall, a fine example of a Victorian Folly.
