The property

Located with the six-acre grounds of Lower Idston, Hope Cottage is a delightful barn conversion approximately a mile from the villages of Loddiswell and Aveton Gifford.

This reverse level accommodation is accessed via steps up to a fully tiled hallway with access to the ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms, and stairs up to the living accommodation at first floor level.

The delightful open plan living area has a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and living area.

The kitchen has all modern appliances and a large seating area for six guests.

The tastefully furnished sitting room has two double sofas, built in seating area/day bed and occasional furniture.

Laundry facilities are available in The Pump House Utility Room.

There are two bedrooms in total, including a master bedroom with King-size bed and en suite bathroom.

The second bedroom has twin beds which can be made into a King-size bed on request.

In addition to the en suite is a shower room with shower cubicle, wash-hand basin and w.c.

The Pump House is a newly constructed separate annexe to Hope Cottage, which can accommodate an additional two adults for a supplement of £140.00 per week.

The Pump House features a double futon bed at first floor level accessed by steep wooden steps, a fully tiled shower room at ground floor level with a shower cubicle, wash hand basin and WC. Outside, guests have the use of a private terrace with garden furniture and the owner’s extensive six-acre garden and grounds that run down towards the river.

Parking for two cars and wireless broadband is provided.

Overlooking a peaceful valley and with stunning rural views, this is the ideal location for a countryside break.

The sandy beaches of Thurlestone, Bantham and Bigbury are within easy driving distance.
