The cottage lies on the old West Somerset Mineral Line, nowadays a cycleway/walkway to Washford passing through spectacular unspoilt Somerset countryside.

The cottage is a stone’s throw from a friendly village pub, shop and a village green where numerous sports activities occur throughout the year.

The village hall is home to ‘Mineral Line’, which is run by volunteers and offers high quality music in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with a guarantee of top quality food to accompany the evening; its popularity has brought audiences and performers from far and wide.

Four miles away is Watchet harbour and the magnificent Somerset coastline.

Why not take the steam train from Washford and enjoy the ride to Minehead with its delightful seafront, sandy beach and array of shops?
