  • "A really well appointed lodge which had everything we needed to be able to make a meal."

Everything was well arranged. Helpful to have a washing machine and dryer as we took advantage of the brilliant facilities at the Ashbury. Beautiful views. Comfortable beds. The only thing that we would have liked was an extra blanket for the single beds as the duvets were quite light on these beds. We really enjoyed our stay. I wanted to book for the same time next year as we enjoyed it so much but unfortunately it's already booked- that's literally my only complaint! The welcome gift was a lovely touch too which we appreciated. Okehampton was only a ten minute drive away which had a Waitrose and Lidl next to eachother so easy to cater for ourselves, we also ate at the Manor Hotel. It really is a fantastic place for a family holiday. It was February when we visited so we chose to drive to the Ashbury, which took 5 minutes. You could probably walk across in about 10 minutes if you knew what you wanted to take swim stuff/ golf clubs etc. The lodge is actually on one of the fantastic golf courses. We'd definitely like to go back.

  • "Beautiful lodge, immaculately clean and very well appointed throughout."

The views were amazing and an absolute pleasure to wake up to. Excellent comms from the owners as well. Will definitely book again and couldn’t recommend highly enough.

  • "Owner went out of her way to fix a few problems such as a picture falling off the wall!"

Quirky central heating monitor was a bit tricky to manage at first. The chalet was large, very well appointed and furnished. All on the level right up to the door it worked so well for a temporary wheel chair.Very clean. Parking and loading perfect. Very quiet and well away from Golf club noise. It could do with patio furniture as the chairs are too heavy to take out. We would definitely be happy to return Thank you

  • "What a wonderful place to stay."

Ideal to walk in and feel instantly at home. Lovely and bright and comfortable. Highly recommend. Obviously the owners have really spent their time and effort in the detail of providing a home away from home. Thank you. Much appreciated.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at this property."

It was spotless, roomy and warm. The beds, pots and pans, kettle and toaster, cutlery and cooking knives... everything was of great quality. We also loved the views. Communication with the owner was very fluid. They were also very accommodating. If we come back to the area we will definitely stay there again.
