The property

This smart semi detached three-storey townhouse is situated half a mile from the beach, town centre and train station in Exmouth.

Roomy and bright with Georgian elegance and contemporary style, it provides excellent accommodation for families of anyone looking to explore this lovely coast.

Take the steps up to the front door to a porch and entrance hall.

From here, head into the lofty sitting room with wood floor, original shutters and vast sofas for curling up beside the open fire and watching TV.

The kitchen is a fine room for enjoying family meals, with a long old dining table.

Head upstairs from the hall to two bedrooms on the first floor, sharing a bathroom and shower room.

On the top floor are two further bedrooms, peacefully set under the eaves and sharing the shower room.

The walled garden behind is a sheltered space with small lawn for enjoying barbecues, relaxing in the pretty seating area or soaking up the sun on the deck.

Wander into Exmouth town for some retail therapy, to visit the cinema or theatre or pubs, or, of course, to spend the day having seaside fun on the lovely long beach.

You can find sailing and windsurfing instruction, walk the Coast Path, play golf or spot birds on the estuary, or why not simply sit on the seafront with an ice cream and watch the world go by?

The Exe Estuary Trail takes you to Exeter by bike or on foot, or you can catch the ferry across to Starcross.

A little further are the amazing sights of Dartmoor.

31 Salterton Road is a stylish base to enjoy within an interesting area, just ten minutes from the beach.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.
