Set within 22 acres of privately-owned pasture land, Broad Downs Barn forms part of Broad Downs Farm dating from c1860.
Approached by its own private lane, the barn has been converted to the highest of standards whilst maintaining its original exterior integrity.
Internally it provides spacious, luxury modern family holiday accommodation, contemporary design and technical specification, and is serviced by the latest 'Green' technology.
The barn also enjoys shared use of a delightful outdoor heated swimming pool set in an original walled garden.
Broad Downs Barn is just a short five-minute drive from the picturesque sailing town of Salcombe with its beaches, waterfront, shops and restaurants.
Beautiful walks from Broad Downs Barn connect with miles of coastal paths at Bolberry Down leading to Salcombe, Soar Mill Cove, Hope Cove and Thurlestone, whilst Bantham Beach, popular with surfers from far and wide is just a 10-minute drive away.
The location provides an ideal secluded country retreat away from the crowds - the perfect base for exploring neighbouring coves and beaches and the market town of Kingsbridge and beyond to Dartmouth approximately half an hour away.

About the location
Chatsworth 1 mile; Bakewell 5 miles.
The pretty village of Baslow lies at the north end of stately Chatsworth House - home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. The village has many unusual and picturesque features including a triple-arched river bridge guarded by a toll house whose doorway is only 3 1/2 feet high! Baslow offers a range of village amenities including shops, pubs and restaurants. Close by is Bakewell, the capital of the Peak District, and home of the famous Bakewell pudding (definitely not tart!), still made locally to an old and secret recipe. Bakewell is at the scenic heart of the Peak District, and with Alton Towers also within easy touring distance, there is plenty for the whole family to enjoy.
There are two extra folding chair-beds (for children under 16 only) available on request at the time of booking.
The outdoor heated swimming pool is only available between the May and September, please check with the office for confirmed dates (shared with the main farmhouse.)
