“Fantastic situation and views, near enough to town to get supplies but in country which was great.”

Lovely scones, jam, clotted cream on arrival. Plenty of room for parking and great level garden for football for two grandsons!

Lovely scones, jam, clotted cream on arrival. Plenty of room for parking and great level garden for football for two grandsons! As my husband has terminal cancer it was great to have quality time with daughter and family, all bedrooms had en suites which was a bonus, and it was near enough to home if we needed to cut short the holiday for any reason. A great break for me to! Loved it!

The property

Set high on the hillside overlooking the beautiful Mole Valley, on the very edge of the tiny village of Mariansleigh, is Widehay Barn.

The market town of South Molton about four and a half miles away, offers a wider range of shopping and recreational activities and the fabulous beaches on the North Devon coast are just under an hour's drive.

Widehay Barn is a bright and spacious holiday home with a large comfortable open plan lounge, kitchen/ diner, perfect for cooking and eating together.

Also on the ground floor is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room and a further family bathroom with luxurious claw foot tub.

On the first floor are two further bedrooms; the large master with a 5ft double bed and a pretty twin bedded room, both with en-suite shower rooms.

Surrounding the barn is an acre of enclosed lawned gardens - plenty of space for children to play whilst the grown-ups relax and enjoy the outstanding and uninterrupted views to Exmoor and beyond.
