  • "Ten of us stayed at Westholme for three nights to celebrate our 25th anniversary and my husbands birthday, perfect layout for us to enjoy."

Comfortable lounge area, great kitchen diner, utility, large formal dining room worked well. Bed's were comfy. We were able to walk from the property along the sw coastal path to Porlock, which was a treat not having to take out the the cars over the weekend, with a welcomed dip in the hot tub upon our return, (not all in at once!!) On Sunday, we walked to Dunster. It was a great lunch in the Luttrell Arms Hotel. We also visited Dunster Castle on Monday, worth a look. Obviously, if you are not walkers there is a good bus service, also the taxis are not badly priced.

  • "We had a lovely time (second time we’ve stayed)."

Only comments I would make are there are quite a few cobwebs around, there should be a clothes horse or 2. We did washing (6 kids) but had clothes draped everywhere. The first time we stayed there were tea towels but not this time. All in all though a very nice house.

  • "Westholme is a large comfortable house and our family of 12 including 4 children had a really good week there."

The kitchen was spacious and well equipped and there was plenty of space and seating in the sitting room. We found the beds very comfortable and with 7 bedrooms there was plenty of room for everyone. We all enjoyed our stay there.

  • "Our stay at Westholme Lodge was enjoyable."

The beds are extremely comfy and the duvets are lovely and thick. The kitchen is nicely decorated and a great place to socialise however please be aware the kitchen does not come with any salt & pepper, cooking oil etc so make sure you bring your own. The house has two living rooms which is great as it provides a separate space for the children to chill out whilst the adults can relax as well. The hot tub is a great addition however the water was not a high enough level so the jets were not usable as they squirted the water out of the hot tub. The location is great and a short walk to the beach and shops and a short drive to Dunster and Exmoor too. When we arrived there was only a half roll of toilet or less in each bathroom and no spares provided so we did have to go out and buy more quite swiftly as there were 14 of us staying there. The fridge is also quite small and we were not able to fit in all the food we had brought with us. Overall the lodge was a nice place to stay and there is a nice big garden and parking space enough to fit 4/5 cars on.

  • "The house was amazing it suited our families with all the bedrooms and garden space ."

The house was fully equipped with more than you would think ok . The location was perfect for accessing the town and beach but also local to view other areas . The beds were so comfy too. The only fault we could have is that the duvets were down/ feather filling and one of my family members is allergic to them but there was enough spares to compensate their bedding in their room .

  • "Lovely spacious property, in very good order and well equipped."

The living accommodation was great with a large kitchen diner, separate dining room, large lounge and a playroom. 10 minute walk to the main shopping street and 15 minutes to the beach.

  • "Westholme was a truly wonderful house for our family stay !"

We have for the last 10 years have had a holiday when the family get together and we have stayed in some lovely houses this has been the best so far for accommodation, cleanliness, comfort and a great homely feel . One of my grandchildren said it was a Mary Poppins house “ practically perfect in every way “ So thank you very much . Minehead is a nice town but the access to Exmoor and other wonderful places is second to none.

  • "The welcome folder in the kitchen didn't contain user manuals for the kitchen appliances or hot tub, which would have been helpful."

There weren't any oven gloves which means you have to use tea towels, which is a bit of a health and safety issue. The boxes for recycling were very small for such a large house so we couldn't put one of the bins out. The other confusing thing was the information app conflicted with the check out time as the 'So long, farewell' instructions said to be gone by 11am but the key safe/changeover information said 10am. We ended up leaving in the middle at 10.30am. It would be nice to leave a dishwasher tablet for each day as we had to buy a box to be able to use the machine, which we left for the next occupant. We also have some feedback on the hot tub that we will share directly with the owner.

  • "As a group of 14, we were all very pleased with the accommodation booked for our annual New Year's holiday."

The house was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped for large groups (although can I suggest a second kettle be added). For reference for future winter guests, we found the bedrooms on the top floor cooler than the first floor which suited as the house was very warm indeed. The location was excellent for walking, shopping and eating out, all without having to take the car out. We would recommend eating at The Ship Aground pub in Minehead, the village of Dunster and also a short drive out to Exmoor to walk around and over the ancient Tarr Steps over the River Tarle which is now one of my favourite short circular walks ever!

Boasting a stylish interior and spacious living spots to spend quality time with loved ones, there's no better retreat to return to after a day of fun-filled adventure.

Step through onto the quirky black and white tiled floor and set down your belongings before sinking into one of the sofas in the sitting room, providing a great spot to unwind at any time amongst the feature fireplace and the entertainment of the television.

The property also benefits from offering a separate space for the little ones to play, with their own play room full of games and excitement, so the adults of the group can gather around the dining table to indulge in a rewarding glass of fizz as the dinner simmers on the hob in the impressive kitchen.

The kitchen/diner is a particular marvel, home to a unique style combining contemporary with a traditional theme; here the chef of the group can easily prepare a delicious treat for the group amongst the warmth of the woodburning stove, with ample room for assistance around the island taking centre stage in the room, as well as the added benefit of a separate utility room with stylish tiling, offering even more amenities or your self-catered stay.

At the end of the day, retire to one of the elegantly presented bedrooms to catch up on your rest, choosing from a super-king-size with en-suite bathroom, a double with en-suite shower room, a king-size with basin, a twin, a second-floor super-king-size, a second-floor king-size with day bed, and a second-floor single, this flexible sleeping arrangement is perfect for a variety of group needs.

Spend some time in the rear garden to begin your day with a breath of fresh air while your canine companion stretches their legs as you unwind with a good book on the decking area.

Set at the centre of Minhead, you can find a selection of amenities on your doorstep, including delicious eateries and quaint shops to explore, alongside a golf course, beach and the West Somerset Railway offering opportunities to explore Somerset in a different way.

Take a 10-minute car ride via the back roads of Minehead to panoramic coastal views, and the chance to see the wild Exmoor ponies grazing on North hill just above the town.
