The property

This is a splendid detached cottage in the lovely little village of Marldon, three miles outside of Torquay in beautiful Devon.

It has a very homey, contemporary feel, perfect for families or friends to get together in a rural setting and explore the seaside borough of Torbay.

As you enter the cottage through a big spacious hallway, you will come to the sitting room which has stylish, well thought out furnishings brought together with a cosy woodburning stove.

Here you can all sit together winter through to summer and enjoy some peace and quiet or even throw open the patio doors to the garden and take in that summer breeze.

The kitchen invites a modern feel with oak wood furniture and the essential wine chiller for those who enjoy a refreshing glass of Sauvignon Blanc from time to time.

Upstairs is the second fabulous bathroom, a spacious king-size bedroom with sumptuous sofa and a delightful twin bedroom, both with bright Velux windows looking out on lovely views of the garden.

Outside the garden surrounds the cottage with a charming little summer house, sloping lawn and deck chairs, as well as a lovely gravel patio and table and chairs to sit out and enjoy the morning sun right through to the evening.

To entertain the kids why not pay a visit to Pirates Bay Adventure Golf, Paignton Zoo or even Occombe Farm?

But if you simply just fancy a nice afternoon walk, Paignton has a long stretch of beautiful and easily accessible beachfront with a traditional promenade and green.

Torquay has an equally stunning seafront, stylish marina and beautiful beaches to explore.

Boundary Cottage is what you need for the perfect getaway on the exquisite English Riviera.

Torquay holds many delights for both families and couples, from an abundance of children’s activities whatever the weather, to coastal walks, restaurants and nightlife. There’s an abundance of amenities with three shopping centres to choose from, along with a great number of good places to eat and drink from elegant gastro pubs set on the water’s edge to traditional pubs, and of course, fish and chip shops. Take a wonderful walk along the clifftops to blow away any cobwebs and enjoy the far-reaching seascapes, or stroll beside the harbour and watch the little boats drift in and out of the bay. Visitors can catch a boat to Brixham or Paignton, try sea angling or a range of water-based activities, or head to the world-famous Paignton Zoo to come face-to-face with the friendly elephants and meerkats.
