The property

Resting on the foothills of the wonderful Dartmoor National Park and a stone’s throw away from the bustling town of Okehampton is this lodge-style holiday accommodation, Windy Willows.

This spacious, all-ground-floor property is a delightful base for you and your loved ones to call home as you explore the surrounding area, littered with countryside walks, charming towns and breath-taking scenery.

Step into the open-plan living room, where large windows and patio doors flood the room with natural light and offer superb views as you settle on the sofa, cook, dine and spend quality time with your loved ones.

The contemporary kitchen offers a wonderful space to rustle up tasty treats or home-cooked recipes before regrouping with your family at the dining table, admiring the garden as you tuck in.

After dinner, sink into the striking yellow sofas and tune into the TV, whilst the woodburning stove crackles in the background during a winter’s evening.

After an action-packed day of exploring the surroundings, look forward to catching your rest in one of the two bedrooms, which have been designed with style and plenty of space for you to keep your things.

Choose between a double bedroom with an en-suite shower and the twin bedroom, which boasts a striking feature wall and its own en-suite shower room.

To the outside, bench seating and a table offer an alternative space to dine or enjoying a cup of tea in the morning as you admire your countryside surroundings; alternatively enjoy lunch on the shared lawn during the summer months.

Take a drive into the nearby town of Okehampton, where you will find a range of shops, eateries and pubs, as well as a charming Victorian shopping arcade, a museum, a park for picnics and a Norman Castle.

The town also plays host to a 1950s-style train station, where you can hop on board the scenic route to Meldon, the highest station in southern England.

For those feeling active, guests of Windy Willows can enjoy the majestic setting of the Dartmoor National Park, where you will find plentiful walking, cycling, fishing and golf opportunities.

Recommended walking routes include, the Two Castles Trail and the West Devon Way, whilst the Granite Way is popular with cyclists.
