  • "This was our second visit and we had another wonderful time, On arrival we saw the new additions to this property, sleeping lodge, wood fired tub and custom made seating and tables made by the owners."

They were interested in our thoughts, we liked the tables so much we remarked another one by a bench would be great for morning coffee. That same day one was made and put in place!! If this is not 5 star service we don’t know what is and shows how considerate the owners are. Excellent situation for walking and visiting many places……Somerset boat centre was a great day! Already thinking of when we can return.

  • "Quantock View, a beautiful site consisting of a shepherd’s hut, bedroom lodge and barbecue hut."

Whole area to ourselves, many facilities to get back a little bit more to nature (with luxury to back you up!!!) and an adventure with each of the buildings on the site. A chance to test or improve your bushcraft or scouting skills building fires with a fire pit, barbecues and even a log burning hot tub. Quantock lodge is a peaceful, comfortable and pristine wooden building to wake up in the mornings with fantastic views from each window. The shepherd hut is comfortable and cosy with all amenity’s you need for a really relaxing holiday. The barbecue hut is a great place to cook food over charcoal or wood (all charcoal, wood and fire lighters supplied) in a relaxing magical atmosphere with even LED lighting to add to the effect. The grounds, facilities and building are of high quality and carefully placed for amazing views of hills, trees and farmland. Birdwatchers you will love the treat with the variety of bird life, and have the pleasure of a friendly “great spotted woodpecker” to share your holiday!!! Lots of walks, across public rights of way, quaint villages with pubs (recommend the Anchor Inn) at the end of a walk, very handy!!! Over the past couple years, my Wife and I viewed Quantock View often wished ourselves there, and in reality we were not let down. A place to get so much from for adults and children to enjoy themselves in magical surroundings in a lovely part of England.

  • "We had a great weekend at Quantock View."

The hut is in great condition and well equipped, with clever space saving storage and fold away beds including a single chair bed that was perfect for our 2 year old (she slept very well!) It was cold outside but we were very warm inside with lots of thick fleecey blankets and an electric fire which warmed the room up fast. We really enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the separate bbq hut was fantastic - really fun to cook in there and so cosy (lots of firewood, charcoal etc provided too!) Would love to return and would highly recommend to everyone.
