Ideal for a relaxing break in a beautiful location.

A pity the weather was poor. Thats life

The owner and manager made you fell welcome, even before arrival. Sheep in field adjoining the yard/garden so dog owners need to be aware. Footpaths abound from the property.

  • "Lovely property in great grounds and the facilities were as described in the narrative."

Friendly welcome from hosts Rupert and Jayne. Property would have benefitted from better, more comfortable, garden chairs and a dishwasher. (Space in the end cupboard near the door?) All in all a lovely property, ideal for a break for 2 people (and a dog).

  • "The Cider Press is a wonderful place to stay if you want peace and tranquillity."

The setting is rural and we had the added bonus of sheep just beside the cottage. They were a pastural addition that we thoroughly enjoyed - endless entertainment. The Cider Press is very comfortable and warm. The facilities are excellent with plenty of kitchen equipment. The only added bonus would be a dishwasher. Jane, who meets you on arrival is very helpful. I would recommend this cottage for a tranquillity, comfort and rural surroundings.

It was just as we'd previously found it, two years ago, clean, comfortable and extremely well equipped. We hope to go back again, before too long.

  • "The Cider Press is a lovely cottage which fully met our expectations."

It was a bonus to be on the Cadhay Estate with its lovely house, outbuildings and gardens which we could explore. Everything we needed was on hand and the car can be parked right outside the door. The kitchen was fully equipped (except for a dishwasher we would not have used), the lounge was comfortable (fantastic log burner) and the bedroom was a decent size with large comfortable bed.

The Cider Press is well set up for two people, the views are amazing, and the antics of the sheep are amusing!

It was very quiet and peaceful, just what we wanted. The staff at Cadhay were so kind and helpful, the cottage was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The nearby town was close emough to be termed local, and had lovely shops and again the local people were lovely. We really had a great time.

  • "Booking was a little haphazard, maybe because of short notice."

..when tried to book on-line (Monday evening) got email back with a booking confirmation, tried to progress to pay but then couldn't. Email link said to the imminent required date (Friday) that someone would call me, they didn't. I phoned again on Weds to chase and was told (Julia) you'd have to contact the owner, she called back quickly to say it was available (begs a question why this hadn't already been done). Was sent a link to pay on line which would expire in an hour, it didn't work, none of my data was populated and the page would not let me enter any data whatsoever. Another phone call and was directed to the Home web site and guided through the payment process and was finally able to pay. All in all was not the most customer friendly and booking process and I wonder what would have happened if I had not chased on the Wednesday, I suspect nothing. Cottage was fine and as described.
