  • "It would be good to have a blind for the sky light in bedroom 2."

    ....especially for summer months.

Thank you for your feedback: we are pleased to confirm that a velux blind has now been fitted to the bedroom skylight. Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed Weavers cottage and the village of Chagford."

But there were a few problems- we arrived quite late, due to the travel and the cottage was very dark and cold. Firewood was available but didn’t really heat the lounge and dining room so we sat in our outdoor jackets till we went to bed. Maddy arrived the next day to sort out storage heaters. One not working so replaced with a mobile radiator. No outdoor lighting - cooker light not working but they are aware of this. Difficult to read with a good light above so we moved furniture- no skylight cover above one of the beds which was directly above your head. Itinerary needs updating because some items not in the stated place. Everything else really good - maddy was as helpful as she could be.

Thank you for your review and we are pleased to hear you enjoyed the cottage and your stay in Chagford. It's good to hear that Maddy responded swiftly and she has subsequently updated the outdoor lighting and the velux blind has now been fitted. A great deal of care and attention was devoted towards ensuring that everything is where it should be for a comfortable stay at Weaver's Cottage so hopefully everything should be easy for guests to find. - Helpful Holidays Property Owner

  • "The cottage was lovely, just as advertised."

Very comfortable and good location. We would have preferred a blind in the bathroom as we felt very exposed once the light was on. A bulb had gone in one of the ceiling lights and a slat on one of the blinds was broken in the dining room. The log burner was great. None of this impaired our experience at the cottage, which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback and it is lovely to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Privacy film has now been added to the bathroom window and the housekeeper is investigating the other points you mention. Thank you for letting us know and we hope you'll choose Weaver's Cottage again in the future. Property Owner
