  • "A lovely cottage, we've never had such comfortable sofas & bed in a holiday home ."

The cottage was very clean & had everything you need. Its position down a quiet lane but only a few minutes walk from the town, beach, harbour & railway is ideal .The owners are really nice & very helpful. Would certainly recommend this property .

  • "Could not fault this cottage at all, so close to the beach, shops and harbour all literally minutes away."

Property was clean and so comfortable, I took our pet and there was a lovely little park just a minute away for her to run around as well as endless walks along the lovely seafront. Lovely welcome pack from our host Nicola who also called in to check everything was ok. We had a fabulous two weeks made that much better by saying at this little gem of a cottage. Thank you

Perfect in every way. All home from home comforts. Our booking were easy with the knowledge sykes cottages are to hand. This cottage nestled on a quiet lane .we had not stayed in Paignton before and were more than happy to find everything within you need within walking distance. What a find. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay . No negatively at all. Would highly recommend to anyone.

  • "We had a lovely time staying at Broadsands, the cottage is very spacious and clean."

It’s very close to all amenities, shops, pubs and restaurants. The Harbour area is lovely, we had a few meals at Harbour Lights which we strongly recommend and the Harbour Inn. We went on a boat over to Torquay and caught a bus to Brixham so there’s no need for driving around from this cottage also we went on a lovely walk to Goodrington which is close by. We have a little dog and although you cannot go on the main beach at Paignton from the end of April you can go to Fairy Cove all year round and at Goodrington. The owners of the cottage Nicola & Phil are great and a phone call away if you have any questions.

Hi Sylvia, Thank you so much for your fantastic review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Broadsands Cottage. It is in a great location as you say. Perfect for leaving your car parked and having a relaxing holiday. Guest satisfaction is our top priority and we are happy to help in any way we can. Thank you for staying with us. • "We stayed in Broadsands for a week in April as returning guests."

We’ve stayed in multiple dog-friendly cottages in Torbay, but this is the one we like to keep coming back to. It’s always clean, comfortable and beautifully situated just off the seafront. Morning walks on the beach, evening strolls on the pier, hearing the steam train getting ready to leave (and go there) or just going into the town centre. Everything right on your doorstep. The private parking is ideal and essential. The cottage is in perfect shape. The drive has been resurfaced, a new central heating control system has been installed since our last stay. Nicola and Phil are very easy to get in touch with and very friendly and helpful. We definitely will return to Broadsands soon.

Hi Jochem, Thank you for your fantastic review and for staying with us again. We are so pleased you love our cottage. The cottage really is in a perfect quiet location with amenities close by. We hope to see you soon! Best regards Nicola and Phil Property Owner

  • "This was the second time we stayed in Broadsands Cottage."

It will surely not be our last. The cottage is situated perfectly for everything Torbay has to offer. Lovely walks with our dog. Nicola and Phil are easy to contact when needed. We can’t wait for our next trip over to Paignton and to Broadsands Cottage.

  • "Small cottage but fine for a family of 4 with a dog."

The furnishings are quite basic but it was clean, quiet and the location is excellent. The only thing that I would suggest is some pint glasses as drinking beer out of a wine glass didn’t white work!

  • "We loved staying in Broadsands."

The cottage is spacious and clean and met all our expectations. The on site parking space is a bonus. Location is perfect. A short walk from everything Paignton has to offer, or a short drive to anywhere else in Torbay. Because there’s plenty to do in the area (even in October) during the day, we were not too bothered by the renovation works in the attached cottage next door. They did wake us up early a couple of days though, drilling. However; we would recommend Broadsands to anyone looking for a comfortable home in a perfect location. We will be back!

  • "Generally the interior of the property is very well planned and comfortable."

The only criticism of the interior is the seal along the edge of the shower door, it’s filthy and needs replacing, and also the skirting boards were also covered in dust and hair. On arrival at the property we did wonder where we had come to as the drive is filthy and needs weeding , some sort of planting would be good and the large bins look awful at the front of a property. The front door needs revarnishing and the door knob needs replacing as it does not reflect how lovely the cottage is inside. The location of the property is perfect for the beach etc however the surrounding area is shabby and neglected. If the property exterior was improved this would detract a little from this .

  • "Lovely clean cottage in a great location."

Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Had a great, comfortable weeks stay. My only two slight negatives are that the oven seemed to take an exceptionally long time to cook anything, not sure if that made need looking at. And also the courtyard listed as private didn't provide much privacy as it is very overlooked from the properties behind with only a short fence and a gate joining us, so if we were out at the same time it seemed a very much shared space. That said, it would not stop me from visiting again, I was just expecting a more private yard. Beds were all very comfortable, slept great and nice touch from the hosts with the welcome basket with cream tea.

  • "It was lovely however it was exceptionally hot upstairs to the point we had to buy a Dan and even with my the single room was 27oc which was dangerous for my baby daughter so we had to sleep downstairs."

The bathroom since didn't drain. Very spacious and very clean. Excellent location.
