  • "Property was perfect for our party of 6 adults (3 couples)."

    Usually one couple gets the tiny bedroom (sometimes without a wardrobe) but all the bedrooms here are large and have wardrobes, bedside cabinets and chest of drawers. Would be ideal for larger parties as there is also a bunk bedroom that we didn't use. The house is very well equipped, the owners seem to have thought of everything you would need. They were very helpful in providing directions and contact numbers to use if there was a problem (which there wasn't). Parking for 2 cars was a bonus as was the location of the house, walking distance to beach, town centre, railway & bus station.

  • "The property was nice just a few things that disappointed us was the banister rail was very dirty and sticky so we had to clean it."

    The stairs we had to hover and skirting was dusty but the rest of the house was nice and clean we could only use the showers one at a time as the water would stop in the other shower's. No bin in upstairs toilet or main bathroom and no hangers in front bedroom and second ensuite shower blocked. Kitchen needs a few new utensils we bought a tin opener and tongs as they were broken and it would be great if you could have instructions on how to use the pizza oven or just some tips please as Jamie Oliver 30mins was totally wrong! The scones were lovely thank you so much and linen was lovely and clean double bedroom was cramped with cot in it could do with being in the large bedroom and a hand rail for some of the hight steps would save hanging onto the walls apart from that we had a lovely holiday and enjoyed the house thank you

We hope this did not affect your stay for your group of ten. * Cleanliness: We take great pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, We have an excellent Property Management team who excel themselves on ensuring the property is clean and ready throughout, often during peak season changeovers are on the same day, we are often asked if guests can check in earlier than the allocated time of 3pm, our Sands Road Villa is a large property and it is for this reason that we prefer to ensure the property every detail is checked and ready for incoming guests. * Maintenance: At the start of the season we fully replenished and replaced all kitchen items, occasionally items are broken and go missing, we apologise for any inconvenience caused it this was the case. We always encourage our guests to inform us about any missing or damaged items so that we can promptly replace them, as stated in our welcome email, we are local and are always happy to drop in anything you may need. Your feedback is essential in helping us keep the property well-equipped for everyone's enjoyment. * Showers and Water Pressure: We apologise for the inconvenience you faced with the water pressure in the showers. We will have our maintenance team look into this matter to ensure that all showers function optimally. * Amenities: Your comments regarding the addition of a bin in the upstairs toilet, hangers in the front bedroom, and new utensils in the kitchen are duly noted. We will assess these missing items for future guests. * Instructions for Pizza Oven: We appreciate your feedback on the lack of instructions for the pizza oven. Operating instructions were in the welcome folder and I will investigate this. * Bed Arrangement: The cot is safely tucked down the side of the room and we are always happy to move to the kingsize rooms at the front of the house to accommodate different guests needs * Safety Handrails: Your suggestion regarding the addition of handrails for some of the higher steps is highly valued. Safety is of utmost importance to us, and we will look into the feasibility of implementing such measures.   • "A lovely property in a great location, very close to Paignton beach."

    We booked the property for 7 family members as a base to explore Devon. From here there are easy bus routes to Torquay, Dartmouth, Totnes and Brixham. There are also beautiful coastal walks to the same areas. The property was perfect and easily accommodated 7 of us. The kitchen and dining room were really well equipped, clean and spacious. The same can be said of the lounge and bedrooms. Decor was lovely. All beds were super comfy and towels provided. We were fortunate enough to have amazing weather, so used the garden furniture which was a lovely place to be in the sun. The only downside I can mention (looking for a balanced view) was the fluctuating water pressure which wasn’t great for showers in the two brilliant en-suite bedrooms but that is possibly due to the number of people we had using water in the house and certainly didn’t spoil the trip. Communication from Sykes and the property owners was exemplary. I’m really happy with chose this property and will definitely book again when we return to the area. Definitely 5 stars from us.

This idyllic holiday home is set in a stunning, white-washed Victorian villa and benefits from a spectacular setting paces away from the glorious golden shores of Paignton beach and proximity to Dartmoor National Park as well as a front garden with barbecue and pizza oven and off-road parking which is rarity in this bustling town; a perfect dwelling for families or friends looking to explore the wonders of Devon.

Cross the threshold and find the sitting room where you can snuggle up on the corner sofa with your loved ones and watch on as the kids make the most of the Xbox, movie and sports package on the Smart TV.
