The property

A well-presented detached barn conversion, in the village of Parkham, six miles from the popular coastal resort of Bideford on the stunning North Devon coast.

Set all on one level, this lovely cottage has oak floors and a woodburning stove making it a cosy bolt hole for a quiet stay within easy access to the coast.

The sitting room leads through an arch to the kitchen with dining area and from here are patio doors to the spacious, mainly gravelled garden, which is secluded, private and a sunny spot to relax after a day on the beach.

Back inside and completing the accommodation are two bedrooms and a bathroom.

The surrounding countryside is beautiful for walks and wildlife and the South West coast path is three miles away at Buck?s Cross from where you can see Lundy Island in Bideford Bay.

The beaches in this area are stunning, plentiful and safe, and families will love the award-winning Big Sheep all weather attraction.

The villages of Horns Cross, Buckland Brewer, Littleham and Abbotsham are all within a short drive, and benefit from lovely pubs serving excellent home-cooked food.

Within reach are the Atlantic Village Outlet Shopping Centre and Supermarket, the pretty villages of Appledore, Clovelly and Instow, the fascinating Dartington Crystal and the beautiful RHS Garden Rosemoor.

Parkham nestles in a tranquil North Devon valley, three miles from the dramatic coastline around Barnstaple Bay and a ten minute drive from the picturesque fishing village of Clovelly, famous for working donkeys, smuggling stories and ancient cottages clinging to the cliffside. Parkham has a long established family butcher supplying high quality products to the surrounding area, including the well-known Ruby Red beef. Parkham is close to an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and The National Trust own and manage extensive tracts of coastline along the North Devon coast including Peppercombe Valley, Worthygate and Sloo Woods. Just six miles away from Parkham is the quaint bustling town of Bideford which boasts a medieval bridge, town quay, quaint pannier market and vibrant shopping area - all well worth a visit. For the more active, several major surfing beaches, golf courses, theme parks and other attractions are nearby.
