  • "Absolutely loved our stay."

Hillfarrow hideaway was just perfect. Lovingly furnished and had everything we needed for our stay. Emily and Kevin made us feel very welcomed but let us have our privacy. Positioned so you can enjoy both Somerset and Devon. Perfect for visiting Exmoor, Dartmoor, the coast and so many lovely walks from the door step. Can’t wait to visit again.

  • "A well designed stylish property."

Extremely clean and a very comfortable bed. The position was ideal for travelling around Devon and Somerset as it’s near to the M5 but no noise from the road at all. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Given the opportunity we would definitely stay again.

  • "Excellently located mid county retreat for visiting all Devon’s beautiful coastline and countryside."

Smallish apartment with a very comfortable bed! The kitchen facilities are compact but have everything you need including the all important corkscrew and bottle opener! There is a most amazing microwave come convection oven which does everything you would need and expect. Very nice patio area which the owners who live next door have gone to much trouble to make it private. Amazing electric shower in the separate bathroom and beautifully and quirkily decorated all through. We would definitely stay here again.

‘Em & Kev was brilliant hosts and on hand if required (which we didn’t) Really clean and well maintain. Nothing that I can think needs changing.

  • "Kev and Em are great hosts, the accommodation was well appointed."

You could see the love that was put into the property, from the oak used to make the doors and the breakfast bar with the detail in the accompanied furnishings. Always at hand if you needed anything. Welcoming at the door from the start and Smudge the cat also a loving cuddle.

  • "Lovely place with some charming features such as exposed brickwork, wooden breakfast bar & fire, and lovely hung sliding doors."

Complete with its own suntrap of a private patio garden. In a very quiet but central location only 10-12 mins drive to any one of 3-4 pubs. The hosts Em & Kev were very attentive but low key. There when you moght need them but unobtrusive when you didn't. Definately recommend this one and will look to return ourselves.

  • "Really liked the property."

Very conveniently close to the M5. Hosts seemed really nice people. Only gripe would be that we didn’t realise on the first night that we could close blind (upper window) because we didn’t know about the remote control on the side of the bed. It’s not very obviously placed! It led to being woken up very early when it got light in the morning. Also could’ve done with a curtain on the patio doors as felt easily overlooked when coming out of the bedroom into the bathroom with not many clothes on. Lovely courtyard area with nice seating area.

The photos really do not do it justice. At night the garden is lit up by decorative lights and is just a delightful place to be. Emily and Kev were wonderful, caring hosts, nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again. Thank you both!

We wondered how peaceful it would be so close to the A38 but we need not have worried - you can neither see nor hear the road, but it was great base from which to easily travel to other parts of Devon and Somerset. The setting is beautiful and we had a real sense of rural life. The accommodation was very comfortable and well designed, with every need catered for. We had a lovely stay and will certainly return. Thank you Emily and Kev!!!

There were lovely touches, like the fan in the bedroom which were unexpected, but very welcome. Everything was fresh, clean and all essentials were provided, making our stay very comfortable. Thank you.

  • "Fabulous property, lovely finishes, great owners."

Only note we would have it to make the guests aware of the close proximity to the owner as courtyard is shared and owners property does look onto the outside space and at night, owners can also see into the properties bathroom space. We may have missed it initially but to if not, to list there is only a microwave oven In the property.

Thank you for your feedback, it’s always appreciated. We’re a new venture and still tweaking bits and pieces to make things better:) The small, ground level window at the far end of the courtyard is waiting for it’s privacy glass, it’s been on back order but I’ve had confirmation that it’ll be with us this week.. thank goodness. The courtyard is exclusively for the use of guests, as a family we use our garden located on the other side of our property which does not have access to the courtyard. The only time we access the yard is during this hot weather to water the plants which we aim to do whilst our guests are out exploring and enjoying their holiday. We are doggie friendly here, and hopefully you’re lovely dog enjoyed his stay too! In our advertisement it does state that we have a microwave oven, we’re sorry you missed this…it’s so much more than just a microwave, it roast’s cook’s, bakes and can do pretty much everything you might need. We’ve left the instruction manual out for our guests to refer to should they need it. Once again we’d like to thank you for your valued feedback, guest satisfaction is highly important to us.
