  • "Claire & Ogg were perfect hosts."

Super friendly and very helpful. They made us feel very welcome and were very accommodating. The cottage was perfect for us and the hot tub was clean and monitored daily. The adjoining games with pool table and table tennis were perfect for the kids. I couldn't fault it!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much!!!

  • "Had a lovely week @ Tor Cottage."

Nice that the pool was still open and hot tub was immaculately clean !! You do have to drive from the site, but there are loads of interesting places nearby. Claire & Oggy were very friendly & attentative.

  • "We had a very nice holiday and found the accommodation very clean and comfortable loved the hot tub but only able to use swimming pool once as we were out till 4 30 and the pool closed at 5pm the site was very clean and well maintained and staff were very friendly ."

We were a bit disappointed that we had to take the car everywhere as a bit out interested sticks and no where to walk from the site as roads were very busy .

  • "Great little place, we loved staying here, the hot tub and private garden was ideal."

The pool was great and the bbq was really nice as well. I guess the only downside was the smaller bed, it was very uncomfortable and the pillows were very thin and uncomfortable. Things like fixing the window mechanism could be improved in that room, the shower kept getting blocked and the washing machine never washed properly, it kept saying error. The toilet handle was broken and the doors are very noisy and thin. The communal games room was disappointing as all the ping pong balls were damaged, the darts were missing, and the pool balls were stuck in the table when we wanted to play. If those things were fixed/improved it would be a great place to go.

  • "We had a lovely week at tor cottage , weather was outstanding so we used the outside pool alot which was fabulous open 10am to 7pm ."

Lovely quiet site well maintained. The cottage was fab , just a few extras they should think about getting is a iron ( we had to buy 1 ) a airer as there is no where to air dry clothing .. hate using a dryer ! No bottle opener so had to buy 1 ... but this isn't a complaint at all . We loved every minute and so did our dogs , lovely garden and all fenced in so secure . Would definitely go back .

  • "Clean and tidy on appearance but dirty when you looked properly."

Washing machine and dryer didn’t work so had to spend more money in the laundrette . The bathroom had very poor ventilation which resulted in a very damp and slippery room even tho extracting fan and window left open at all times . The patio doors in the front bedroom were broken all faulty they were almost impossible to lock which is not ideal when you have children sleeping in there. Would not go back to that cottage . The site was nice and clean but very quiet to the point where I was telling the children to be quiet when we were in the pool in case of upsetting people .

Location is brilliant, the views were amazing and you’re literally in the heart of Devon with lots to do. It was great to explore Devon in the day time and then come back to a comfortable cottage to relax in specially in the hot tub. The cottage and Hot tub pool was amazing and the whole place has been kept clean and tidy. We definitely would recommend Tor Cottage to anyone looking to explore Devon and will be staying again very soon. Thank you Springfield holiday park for a great weekend and a wonderful cottage to stay in. See you soon.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Tor Cottage."

The campsite was really nice, well maintained and the pool looked great, though we weren't able to take a dip as the weather was awful! A special note about the wardens on the site as they were welcoming, helpful and overall lovely to deal with. The cottage itself was the perfect size for our family of 4 and was really lovely and cosy with good heating and amenities which was wonderful in the constant rain. It's right next door to the games room which was great for us as the kids (10 & 7) enjoyed playing table tennis and pool. We also managed a few soaks in the hot tub which was a fabulous bonus. The only constructive criticism we have was that the curtains were very light (with one being just a sheer net type which we had to cover with a towel!) with no light blocking at all which meant that unfortunately for us, we couldn't sleep once the sun came up. I'm sure it wouldn't bother people who are used to it but we have blackout curtains at home so it was a struggle for us. It would be a minor thing for them to change but would make a massive difference in comfort! We also had to temporarily remove the headboard from the double bed as it clattered against the wall even when just sitting there reading. The weather really affects the internet too so with the constant rain, we were unable to log onto the wifi. There's a TV so it wasn't an issue for us and I doubt there's much they can do as it's a typical campsite issue, but I mention it as we wished we'd downloaded a few movies etc. before arrival and I would recommend doing that just in case. But these were very minor issues which would not stop us from returning and we would recommend the cottage and site generally to others without hesitation.
