"The apartment is in a very good location."
The apartment itself is in need of refurbishing and painting. Items like the mattresses need replacing, they are uncomfortable and the duvets and bed linen could do with an update. The dressing table and stool are superfluous and take up too much space. The apartment is a bit cramped for four people especially if the weather is not too good.

"Not value for money and would not stay there again"

"Our second time here and could not be happier."
We stay with my older father and my young daughter and it suits us well. Clean and comfortable. Simply furnished with not too much stuff. But all we need. Great views. A pool to occupy the youngest of our party. Parking in town! Thank you.

"Coast and country are amazing, very helpful."
The apartment is dated and not what the photos imply. The kitchen and bathrooms could use an referb, It was also very cold in the evenings and could not find how to put any heating on. Due to a family emergency we had to return home early (Tuesday) so the we managed with jumpers and spending a lot of money in Jack Wills! We would return but earlier in the year next time.

"A marvellous position with great view of the Estuary and easy access to the garden and pool."
Well fitted kitchen area and easy to manage. Very comfortable lounge seating, and bedrooms allow a good nights sleep. Only problem is the poor toilet flushing with both requiring multiple discharges after slow tank refilling to clear. The designated car park space is a great asset in Salcombe.

"Beautiful setting right on the waterfront."
Nice peaceful garden to just sit and watch the boats. The parking space was a bit tight but was not helped by the adjacent vehicle being parked outside the lines. It did not move all week. Second bedroom, which we did not use, has no windows. Showers in both bathrooms need the heads replacing with something better.

"Excellent position with great views of the harbour."
Easy access to the garden and pool area. Facilities are generally good but lighting in the kitchen and table area could be better. Having a designated car parking space is a real asset in Salcombe.

"A super well equipped apartment with easy access to the swimming pool and wonderful views over the estuary."
The bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable and the en-suite Mira shower was efficient and easy to adjust, though just a little on the small side, but there is another shower over the bath. The TV and CD player are of a good standard for when the weather is not at its best and the kitchen had everything needed when cooking our own meals. The only real downside is the somewhat hard to access tight parking space. Many thanks to the charming and sociable staff who do a great job looking after the brilliant swimming pool, especially Keith, Charlotte and Emily, cheers.
Many thanks for leaving your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay here at 1 The Salcombe and were able to use the facilities the apartment has to offer. We are sorry to learn of the difficulty you had with the parking. For future booking, it is noted in the apartments red notes on our website, we are only sorry you weren’t aware of this prior to your stay. Thank you for your kind acknowledgment to the hard working staff at The Salcombe, we have passed on your thanks. Property Owner

"Marvellous view of Salcombe harbour through very large windows."
Easily managed and well equipped. Only problem was that although on ground floor no mention that access from street level and car park was either by stairs from reception level or a steep incline .

"The location of our apartment was idyllic and perfect for the two of us."
If we had brought two more people it would still have been comfortable as there was an extra room and bathroom. The only problem was that the water pressure was very low and by day 3 of our stay it had completely stopped. So there was a day when we could no wash or have a shower. However this was sorted out by a plumber.

"The write-up for this apartment was misleading."
It was more like a large beach hut. The rooms were tiny and we think it should have been made clear that the second bedroom had no window so air flow was a big problem. The state of repair, fittings and implements were not up to the usual standard we expect from properties available through your company. Fortunately, there were only 3 of us and all reasonably slim otherwise there would certainly have been space issues. The best part of this break was the time we could spend away from the property so we were grateful to have reasonable weather. In view of the above we feel the property was greatly overpriced and, we are sorry to say, was not up to the standard we have come to expect from your company over a great many years. We would certainly NOT recommend it to others.
We are so sorry that you felt misled by the description of 1 The Salcombe. We have successfully let the property for many years and have not had comments of this nature previously. Although it seems this property was not suited to you, we hope that we can welcome you back to the area again soon. Property Owner

"Having stayed in this property for over 10 years it was sad to arrive this year to a dirty flat."
Basic cleaning of the kitchen had not been done and the dirt build up under sofas and behind drawers was pretty disgusting. The sofa cover was so bad you didn’t really want to sit on it. I did speak to someone in a call centre who sent a cleaner around but waiting for her to arrive and clean was not my ideal start to the holidays. Also sad you have decided to ditch the rebooking system, sadly smacks of money grabbing rather than the quality company that Coast and Country has always been. Perhaps you have misjudged the Salcombe market, my loyalty clearly means nothing to you so perhaps time to change to one of the other local companies who know the properties and respect my loyalty.
Thank you for your feedback regarding your most recent stay, we are very sorry to hear that the property was not prepared to our usual high standard upon your arrival, we do work very hard and liaise with our owners and housekeepers to keep high standards maintained and we would hope that you can accept our apologies on this occasion, your comments have been passed on to the correct department. Although the Repeat booking system has now changed we pride ourselves on offering the best Customer Service and will always endeavour to get the weeks our guests have requested, please do not hesitate to contact the office if we can be of help in the future. "This property gave us a fantastic location for our holiday in Salcombe."
We had the best holiday ever, swimming in the outside pool, relaxing in the garden-all so central to Salcombe shops and restaurants et cetera The accommodation was perfect for a familywith two small children and on the whole was really well equipped. The loo paper handle was a bit shaky and I would’ve liked dishwasher tablets fairy liquid but these are small things overall it was brilliant!
