    Elmo Court. It is a spacious, comfortable, well maintained apartment with everything you need for your holiday. We have stayed here three times now and hope we can return again. It is always spotlessly clean and well presented. We love the peace here especially now Salcombe itself seems to be changing with property being modernised, developed and extended.

    Had everything we needed for a large family! Even the coffee cup selection was great!!! Pool would have been super if sun came out! Location was fine for us, we managed to walk into salcombe and back with 4 young children. Would definitely recommend and would love to come back to this house for another holiday.

    The location is perfect for access to a beautiful coastline while the town is a short walk away. The flat is spacious and comfortable and well equipped. We remarked how clean the flat was and appreciate how the owners have updated it. We love the gardens and calm of St. Elmo Court.

    The property was light and spacious and well placed for walking into town or going off for a walk over towards Bolt Head. We all enjoyed our 3 night stay there - a bit of a nostalgia trip.

  • "Fabulous holiday at st Elmo ."

    Very comfortable and spacious apartment with lots of facilities . Top quality appliances . Stunning views from the balcony . Beautiful gardens with pool . Very peaceful . The only thing I would mention to help others when booking , property is advertised as first floor , there are many steps prior to getting to the entrance then more stairs to get to apartment so not ideal for people with mobility issues . We still had a lovely holiday but a little restrictive for my mother in law with the steps .

  • "As always the apartment was immaculate, we always enjoy staying at number 17 it has a lovely 'home from home' feeling and is equipped to a high standard, along with super comfy beds with cosy linen."

    The location is great, very quiet area just above North Sands and a 20/30 minute stroll along the estuary road into Salcombe, beware there are a few steep hills but the views across the estuary are amazing. I am sure we will be returning again soon.

    I can't think of anything negative to say about it and we have rebooked for next year. The only comment I would make is that it is on the first floor of a building which is at the top of a very steep drive so it may not be suitable for anyone with mobility problems.

    Very well kitted out Kitchen with Neff & Bosch appliances. Great location being just a 5 minute walk to North Sands beach. Around 20 to 30 minute walk to town center. Beds were a bit too soft for my liking.

  • "Proir to the Holiday , i checked with sykes on the opening hours of the Salcombe office and the gentleman said Monday/Friday 9 till 9 When i returned the keys on the Thursday evening at 7."

    30pm it was closed We did leave the keys in a open plastic box by the sign then emailed and phoned head officeto let them know Would it be safer to have a locked box or letter box ,as we where worried some one may have taten the keys Regards Robert Hawk

    Having stayed in Salcombe on numerous previous occasions prior to staying at the property, would not now stay anywhere else. A location that can't be beaten, easy parking, and a fantastically well appointed flat that enjoys a mobile phone signal and wifi (a rarity). Incredibly and deceptively spacious with a master bedroom that is a real treat. Book with confidence.

The property

St Elmo Court occupies a secluded and private setting in sub-tropical gardens, and enjoys superb views over the valley and the mouth of the Salcombe estuary.

17 St Elmo Court is an exquisitely furnished first floor apartment, presented to the highest standard, within a short walk of North Sands Beach.

Salcombe’s boutique shops, popular restaurants and picturesque waterfront are also within walking distance.

The open-plan lounge and dining room is light and spacious with high ceilings, a four-seater sofa and two armchairs, a eight-person extending dining table, TV with DVD player, Sonos music system and sliding windows to a balcony with outdoor furniture, including a parasol.

A fully fitted kitchen comprises a gas hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

Three bedrooms in total; the master has a double bed and en suite bathroom with a P-shaped bath and shower over.

The second bedroom features twin beds which can be linked to create a super-King.

The third bedroom has full-sized twin single beds.

A shower room, adjacent to the second bedroom, has a walk-in shower and airing cupboard. Outside, St. Elmo residents enjoy exclusive use of an outdoor heated swimming pool (open from May to late September).

There is parking for one car however additional spaces may be available out of season.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.

St. Elmo residents enjoy exclusive use of a superb, private outdoor heated swimming pool which is available from early May to late September each year.
