  • "Would like to see more seating in sitting room."

  • "No big issue but thought i would let you know about it, as i guess your probably not aware of it and only occurs when raining."

The guttering by the front door was overflowing and the sound of running water was quite loud during the night. I took a look and the water wasn't really running away quickly enough, I can only presume the guttering was blocked somewhere preventing the water to flow away as expected. Apart from that, everything else was 10/10. Thanks.

Many thanks for your feedback. We undertook a thorough clean and flush of all off the guttering after your comments and we found them to be more obstructed than usual, so we are grateful for you bringing it to our attention! Property Owner

  • "I find utterly disgraceful that you charge me £80 for a stain on a carpet you have not demonstrated I have caused."

You have only sent a close up photo of an apparent stain I caused, along with an invoice which would seem to be forged as the date has been tippexed and altered. You then send the advice note from an email I cannot reply to and equally without the opportunity to reply. If you do not refund the £80.00 we will let the local tourist board now, provide comment on social media about your approach and then ask the credit card company to recover the monies.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are very disappointed to hear how upset you are that you have been charged for the stain on the carpet. The cleaner reported the stain that was not there prior to your arrival. We made you aware of the situation with a photograph and an invoice, which we can assure was not forged. As per the terms and conditions of booking, deductions can be made for damage to the property. We take your comments very seriously and we understand your frustration on the way the situation was handled and we will review the process. Property Owner

  • "Excellent choice - lovely apartment in a fabulous location."

Very close to the centre with fabulous views. Bright and airy. Only negative - 6 adults and we had to delay showers as we ran out of water which was very frustrating as we had to get ready for a wedding. Slippers from previous occupants found under the bed … Despite the above would thoroughly recommend and return.

  • "Generally the accommodation was lovely and all main areas were very clean."

The only issue was that a previous occupant had put away dirty crockery in the cupboards and covered it over with clean ones. This meant that we had was the majority of the plates, side plates and bowls before they could be used.

  • "There is a problem with the water supply to this property."

The property shares a tank with the property below and when the tank is empty, which happens quickly, there is no water supply into the flat. This means no running water from any tap which impacts on everything from brushing teeth, showering cooking, washing up and using the dishwasher. The tank empties more quickly than it fills and there can be hours without any water supply to the flat. We had to rely on bottled water which Coast & Country brought to us daily. They and the owner are aware of the issue and we would advise checking with them prior to booking to ask if the system has been amended to cope. If you are already booked in, we would advise asking if the issue is likely to impact your stay. A fabulous apartment in all other respects but this is a serious matter which means that we would not stay there again until the system has been upgraded.

    !!

Dear guest, thank you for your feedback and we are very sorry to read that you experienced this problem. All of the mattresses were new just under three years ago but we will examine the main bedroom one, see what the problem is and then rectify the issue! Ladies would like a mirror in each bedroom. The rug under the bed was rucked up making a trip hassard.

Dear Guest, thank you for your feedback and we hope you had a lovely holiday. We will examine the rug and correct the rucking! We are also looking to improve the seating in the lounge later this year. Thank you again! Property Owner

  • "This is a superb property."

Ideal location, well appointed and maintained. We would love to return at some time in the future. The only slight drawback is the ability of noise to carry through from the flat below - noticeable but not objectionable .

Dear guest, many thanks for your feedback. We have been working with the owners of the property below ours and over this winter we and they have installed acoustic engineer-designed acoustic insulation in the ceiling of the property below to do all we can to minimise noise transfer between the two properties. We sincerely hope that this investment will enhance the stay for all future guests! Thank you again Property Owner

Fab location, bright and airy apartment, very modern, we loved it! If I had to give one tiny snag, I would say to put a hairdryer in there as it was very thoughtfully presented everywhere else.

Thank you for leaving us your feedback. We were pleased to read that the apartment was beautifully presented upon your arrival. We have passed on your comments to the owner, thank you. We look forward to welcoming you back sometime soon. Coast and Country Cottages on behalf of, Property Owner

  • "We've had a superb week in Salcombe."

The apartment has been perfect and we've enjoyed the lovely views. The apartment is well stocked with everything you need for a comfortable stay and has a lovely light and spacious feel to it. The parking is very useful however a little tight, especially if the other apartments are occupied, nonetheless, parking otherwise is difficult in Salcombe so it did help to have an allocated space on the doorstep, probably best suited to smaller vehicles.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your comments. We were delighted to read that the apartment was presented beautifully and provided you with everything you required during your stay. We were only sorry to read that you had some difficulty with the parking arrangements. We hope that despite this you had a lovely stay and we hope to welcome you back to the area sometime soon. The accommodation was clean and suitable equipped although we struggled to turn on the hob, and failed to turn on the heating for the one evening we felt a chill. All in all we loved the holiday but please note it is Church Hill and not Churchill.
