  • "We have been staying in The Salcombe for over 10 years and love it."

The swimming pool and boat mooring are unique in The Salcombe. Last year we met the owners of number 32 in the swimming pool who seemed lovely and told us they had just bought number 32 and would be renovating it. We booked to stay there for the following May half term (last week). The apartment was beautifully decorated. Ordinarily we stay in a 2 bedroom apartment and had some reservations about this being a one bedroom but we didn’t need to have. The sofa bed was very comfortable, as were the single beds that our children slept on and there was ample storage in the bedroom and hall drawers for a family of 4’s clothes, bags and beach items (we bought a lot of clothes/items for the week and I like everything to be put away and tidy!) The bathroom was perfect - very modern with a large heated radiator to dry our beachwear. The kitchen was very well equipped, and best of all the fridge was big enough for a family of 4. Nice touches such as both a large cafetière but also one for an individual person, which I liked being the only coffee drinker. The only additional thing I would have liked would have been some storage in a cupboard for food. We ate out 4 times but still there wasn’t space in the cupboards to store snacks and non-fridge food. Small point as everything else was perfect. It is a beautiful and well thought out apartment, with wonderful views - perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are really pleased to hear you had a relaxing holiday and loved the apartment. We will be sure to send it on to the owner. We do hope to welcome you back to the area soon. Property Owner

  • "Million dollar dawn with Seagull chorus was the draw - as usual (stayed before) Very relaxing."

Good stay. Nice layout. New owners are in process of updating, which is... kinda good in one way - but as escapees from planet perfection, it's not important to us. And as Californian's, we warmed to the old homely feel, where we weren't paranoid about bits & bobs dropping on the carpet/sofa. OK, it's still someone-else's home. Still, we don't represent mainstream.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We were really pleased to welcome you back to number 32 and that you were able to make the apartment comfortable for your stay. We have passed on your comments to the owners and look forward to welcoming you back upon your return. Property Owner

  • "We have stayed in 32 the Salcombe on many an occasion and have always felt at home and comfortable but the new owners have started to make it even more comfortable and we say thank you for that."

The kitchen was well equipped but the only thing we couldn’t find was a salt and pepper set but hey that was only a little thing to worry about. Thank you for once again giving us a lovely holiday

Many thanks for leaving us your feedback. We were really pleased to read that you’ve had a very enjoyable stay here at number 32 and have passed on your praises to the owners. We very much look forward to welcoming you back soon. Property Owner

  • "The worse part of the holiday was having to collect and return the key from the Sykes office in town, July and August to me would be a nightmare There are key boxes at the apartments."

? My age possibly did not help the situation Apartment was fantastic.

Thank you for leaving us your comments. We are sorry you found the key arrangements an inconvenience, we have passed on your recommendation for a keysafe to the owners. We do hope this did not detract from what is a beautiful week in Salcombe. Property Owner
