The property

4 Glenthorne House is a tastefully furnished ground floor apartment located within a sympathetically converted, detached villa at the lower end of Devon Road, just 5 minutes or so walk from Salcombe town centre with its array of boutiques, pubs and restaurants, sandy beaches, sailing waters and spectacular coastal walks.

With superb views over the Salcombe estuary and Whitestrand Quay from both the sitting room and double master bedroom, 4 Glenthorne House is a pleasant and well-equipped apartment which is presented to a very good standard throughout.

The open plan living area has a spacious kitchen with a good range of fitted units, four ring hob with electric oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer/dryer.

The adjoining dining area has an oak dining table and seating is provided for four guests.

The comfortable sitting area is furnished with two double leather sofas, coffee table, oak sideboard and a coal effect fire and has views out over the estuary.

Two bedrooms in total: the master bedroom has an oak framed King-size bed, wardrobe, drawers and dressing table with chair.

The second bedroom has two pine single beds, drawers and a wardrobe.

There is a family bathroom with bath and shower over, plus a separate cloakroom with w.c.

Allocated parking for one car is provided in the private parking area which is located next to the villa.

Within easy reaches of the sandy beaches at East Portlemouth, North Sands and South Sands, the location is ideal for a family beach holiday or coastal break, with the South West Coast Path offering stunning walking routes nearby.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
