  • "This was the second time we have stayed at 6 Knowle Court and."

    While the holiday was amazing and the Property is lovely, this year it seemed a little tired. The spray tap in the kitchen didn’t work, the plug in the bath was broken and the shower control was also broken. Additionally, the was a slight issue with cleanliness in that one of the single beds had small Bock and white hairs in it consistent with a dog or cat, yet no pets are allowed. There were also a few dirty plates and glasses left in the cabinet and some soiled utensils. We have booked a different property for next year, still with Sykes, as we noticed a large price rise for next year which, frankly, we don’t think it’s worth. All that said, we love Salcombe, I am from there and come every year to have a huge family get-together, and the house is comfortable and with some good facilities, although some of those are prohibited for guests!!!!!???

We’re so sorry to hear that you found some hairs on one of the beds, the property is not pet friendly and we have confirmed with the cleaner that they couldn’t find any evidence of pets being present during the changeover period prior to your arrival. Please be assured that we have passed on your comments to the housekeeping department and the cleaner of the property to ensure a higher standard going forward. There has been a huge demand for staycations this year and for 2022, which has increased prices in line with other letting agencies throughout the country. Prices also vary in line with the way school holiday weeks fall, and are also subject to annual price reviews.   • "The property was quite dirty."

    There were ‘sweets’ under the sofa which looked like they had been there weeks, possibly months. Everywhere was dusty and there were food particles on the kitchen floor. The beds downstairs were uncomfortable. The cushions on the sofa were grubby and the large beanbag stained and again grubby. The winter quilts could do with replacing with summer quilts during Jun/Jul/Aug. Looking past the cleanliness the apartment is very nice. It could do with a thorough clean and washing/replacement of some furnishings.

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 6 Knowle Court."

    The property was presented to a high specification and was clean upon arrival. It’s about a 10 minute stroll into town and everything from boat hire, bike hire, costal walks and quality pub grub is all a stones throw away. We will definitely be returning, thank you!

  • "The flat was lovely, although it could do with a deep clean."

    The shower had black on tiles and along the rim. Carpets upstairs needed a professional clean. We were also scared to use the upstairs bath as there is a water mark above the fireplace and we were worried it leaked. The tap in the kitchen also dripped. This did not in anyway spoil our stay. Just wanted to make you aware.

  • "We come to Salcombe And book with you every year we hasn’t stayed at this property before as it was a little further out of town The Hill isn’t for the faint hearted but we loved the house and the huge bath was a hit with the children!"

  • "A beautifully appointed apartment, with lovely wood flooring and carpentry."

    High-end appliances and a very effective central heating system. Very comfy beds. The single room is fairly compact, and worked well for a child, but would be fine for an adult too. Good views, including of the estuary. The one parking space is steeply sloped, but took our Ford S-Max with no problem. Generally very clean; the only minor let-down was a bathroom bin and a food cupboard that hadn't been emptied before our arrival. Guests are asked to remove shoes to avoid disturbing downstairs apartment when walking on the wooden floors; faint murmue of a TV was audible in the evenings from the flat below, but at a very low level. It's under ten minutes' walk to the shops and eateries of Salcombe, along quiet suburban roads. Beautiful beaches and coastal walks just a short drive away. An excellent base, come rain or shine (and we had extremes of both!).

  • "The property has been refurbished beautifully everything you could need top quality appliances all rooms look beautiful unfortunately the bed in the attic bedroom was superking which is great but is much too big for the space!"

    it wasn't that it was too low i could cope with that but the thick wooden frame made it difficult to have room to get out off without discomfort. My lower legs are covered in bruises and I knocked my two small toes in fact I think I've broke them so to do this at the beginning of the holiday spoiled the whole Salcombe experience as it was my intention to do a lot of walking. I was in agony all holiday and didn't sleep at all so we left the day before we should have checked out so I'm exhausted and then I had a seven hour drive home so don't feel like I've had a holiday its such a shame !

  • "Great property with excellent comfy kingsize bed, superbly well stocked kitchen and great shower room- all you need really and perfect for evening dining in Salcome as long as you are fit."

    Couldn't find a dvd player in lounge however which would have helped and my only other issue was with the parking space , which is described as on a slight slope. Its actually quite a steep slope and due to the somewhat gravelly nature of the surface, i found to be unsafe. The only other car on the same slope had rock "chocks" under the wheels to hold it in place. The offer of a free parking pass for main car park in Salcombe was an acceptable, if not ideal solution.

A stylish, nautical décor runs throughout this property and on the first floor is a comfortable twin room with wooden-framed single beds, storage and a TV.

A small single bedroom is adjacent to this room and is ideally suited to a young child.

The master bedroom is located on the second floor and has been cleverly built into the eaves.

It has a super-King-size bed, television and a statement freestanding bath in the corner of the room.

To cater for the other bedrooms a family shower room is on the lower floor.

6 Knowle Court is deal for a coastal break, visit the nearby sandy beaches of East Portlemouth, North Sands and South Sands, or explore the South West Coast Path on foot.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
