The property

7 Island Quay is within a small development of town houses, just a short walk away from Salcombe's array of boutique shops, restaurants and busy sailing harbour.

The entrance door, accessed from the private courtyard, opens into a hallway, from which stairs lead directly to the sitting room on the first-floor level.

This is comfortably furnished with a double sofa, armchairs and occasional furniture and offers panoramic harbour views.

A spiral staircase leads down to the kitchen below.

The kitchen is fitted with wooden units and has a range of electrical appliances and a farmhouse dining table that can seat six guests.

A door leads out to the waterside terrace at the rear, another to the integral garage.

Three bedrooms in total: on the first floor there is a twin room with single beds, bedside units and fitted wardrobes, whilst on the upper level there are a two further double bedrooms.

The master en suite has a King-size bed, bedside units, fitted wardrobes and superb water views.

The en suite has a shower cubicle, wash-hand basin and w.c.

The third bedroom, suitable for one guest only, has a double bed (narrow access along one side) and a fitted wardrobe.

In addition, to the en suite there is a family bathroom with bath, shower (over) wash- hand basin and w.c.

and an additional cloakroom adjacent to the sitting room with w.c and wash-hand basin.

Outside there is a small stone terrace from which to enjoy the magnificent views.

Parking for one small car and Wireless Broadband available.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
