    “Perfect property for my family.”

    We have stayed in numerous properties over the last 20 years in Salcombe and will definitely stay there again. We absolutely loved the living room; very spacious and well furnished with the lovely view. Indeed the whole property was well thought out. The only reason I have held off the 5 stars is that it would have been nice to have some sort of privacy door between the top floor bedroom and the floor below's bathroom. My daughter and son in law were on the top floor and we were on the ...

We absolutely loved the living room; very spacious and well furnished with the lovely view. Indeed the whole property was well thought out. The only reason I have held off the 5 stars is that it would have been nice to have some sort of privacy door between the top floor bedroom and the floor below's bathroom. My daughter and son in law were on the top floor and we were on the floor below, so at night and first thing in the morning when we went to use the bathroom they were still in bed with no door between them and us, creeping to the bathroom!

Up the stairs to the first floor is where you’ll find the lounge.

Start Point Lighthouse is a history landmark which has stood for over 170 years and if definitely worth a trip to see.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
