Reviews

1 Customer Review

  • "We loved everything about our stay at Kings View, the location, comfort, cleanliness and how well the property was equipped."

Our only issue was parking. It was great to be given a permit, but local authorities had the main car park closed and this meant that demand was high and you felt like you dare not move your car in case there was no space to come back to. This was no fault of the vendor. The property owner was in regular contact during our stay and was very friendly, helpful and informative.

The property

Tucked away within the heart of Salcombe, just a stone’s throw from a range of amenities and attractions, you can find this delightful duplex apartment, King’s View.

Set over the first and second floor, this charming accommodation offers a group of eight an excellent base from which to explore the coast of Devon.

After a day of touring the area, look forward to unwinding within the living/dining room; here you can sink into the plush leather sofa or two armchairs as the gas fire warms up your feet, flicking through the Smart TV in search of some good on-demand entertainment.

Just behind rests a glass dining table from which mealtime moments can be shared, tucking into a delicious supper or whiling away the hours enjoying board games brought from home.

The kitchen comes amply equipped for the chef of the group to rustle up tasty treats, as well as plenty of preparation space to pack up a picnic for a beach adventure, in addition to a dishwasher, washing machine and a tumble dryer, so that you’ll barely have to lift a finger whilst staying here!

Once the sun has set, head to the second floor to find your sleeping quarters, offering 1 king-sized room, a double, a twin and a child’s bunk room, each of which have been well-furnished with plenty of storage space.

Start off the morning with a refreshing shower or return in the evening for a soothing bath, provided within the bathroom and shower room located on the first floor.

Step out onto the terrace and enjoy a moment in the sunshine, lighting up the barbecue and rustling up something tasty to be enjoyed at the outdoor furniture.

From here, take a leisurely stroll into the town centre, where you will find numerous tearooms to enjoy your morning coffee and cake, as well as a plethora of quality eateries and pubs for tasty lunches and evening meals when you don't feel like cooking.

Salcombe is also home to an excellent selection of shops from high street retailers to independent boutiques where you’re sure to find the perfect gift to bring back home, while the Salcombe Maritime Museum will help you learn of the rich history of this town.

Lounge on the beaches of North Sands and South Sands, both easily accessible from the apartment and offering great days out beneath the sun or catch the Salcombe ferry over to East Portlemouth Beach, before visiting the delights of Small's Cove, Mill Bay and Sunny Cove Beach.

Make King’s View your base as you discover this stunning part of Devon.
