  • "Unfortunately, we only did one night because our dog was injured and we had to come the home."

    Nevertheless, this is our second stay in this lovely cottage and we had no issues. It’s a great location and a lovely clean well- equipped cottage. Highly recommended. We will be back once our dog has fully recovered.

  • "The actual extra cost of car parking was very disappointing £13 per 24hrs!"

    And quite a distance from the property. Quite a dark property with no real views, but clean & well equipped, thought would have liked a coffee machine. Beds not that comfortable for us.

  • "The main bedroom was damp and smelling of mould."

    So did all the linen and cupboards. The bathroom was quite dirty and no extras left like soap,toilet roll.Good shower though. Kitchen needed more equipment. TV very poorly positioned with seating in lounge. Wouldn't return to that property but good location.

  • "This property provided the perfect location."

    The layout was ideal and having the little courtyard was perfect. It was certainly well equiped providing everything you could possibly need. I'd definately recommend this place.

  • "On arrival, we found a frying pan left in the oven, not cleaned, full of fat."

    We left the pan as evidence on leaving. Batteries flat in hive thermostat, heating came on full one night, could not turn off, small patio area left untidy on arrival allot of debris. Other than that, very nice, clean and comfortable cottage. We would stay again.

  • "Well equipped, comfortable and bigger than expected."

    Some basic instructions for using the oven and microwave would have been helpful. Good position in centre of Salcombe but this meant paying for parking. We used the park and ride car park as the cheapest option but this was a 25 minute walk from the property.

  • "As always I’ve had a wonderful stay at Quarter Deck … I’ve stayed here on numerous occasions … cosy ."

    . clean and well equipped .. shower in the en-suite in the back bedroom is probably the best shower I’ve had … you have everything you need in the flat and is a stones throw from the main high street … the only negative this time is the courtyard area wasn’t as clean as before … lots of dog hairs around especially in the drain … other than that I had a lovely stay …

  • "Fabulous property."

    Ideal location for a mostly flat walk to Batson's Creek and also into the town. Only a 5 min walk from the waterfront. Only a 2 min walk from Salcombe Gin and Rum. Cosy and well equipped.

  • "I have stayed here on numerous occasions l just love it … it’s a perfect ..."

    I have stayed here on numerous occasions l just love it … it’s a perfect property for anyone wanting to stay in Salcombe … it’s just around the corner from the Main Street … The only thing I would like to suggest is can you provide jigsaws … I visit Salcombe on my own and last weekend the the weather wasn’t that good and l wasn’t able to go for my usual walks which was fine as the property was warm and cosy but there is only so much tv you can watch so a jigsaw would have passed the time … l will be back …

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage: it is well located for the town, large enough, clean and well maintained and well appointed with facilities."

    Our only complaint was the comfort of the rather small bed, otherwise all good. We also appreciated the C and C’s team’s prompt response to our requests.

  • "The location is great, we slept in the back bedroom which was very quiet and the bed and pillows were very comfortable."

    The floor tiles in the en-suite bathroom creak when you stand on them and the toilet itself as well as the seat is quite loose. The water pressure is very good so it’s a pleasant shower however but the water sprays onto the bathroom floor, I think a larger shower screen or the addition of a shower curtain would solve this. The living area is nice and well equipped, it would be nice if there was a smart tv so guests can connect to their phone to watch Netflix/catch up tv etc.

  • "Lovely apartment, a lot bigger than expected."

    If sleeping in the front bedroom, be prepared for noise, people walking past at all hours, plus seagulls screeching from 5am! But if you sleep in the back bedroom, you can't hear anything, it's like a different place. But would definitely stay again, the price was fantastic for school holidays

Quarter Deck, a lovely, ground-floor apartment lies in the heart of Salcombe, a popular seaside town in Devon.

With the convenience of ground-floor living and being well-positioned to explore nearby amenities and attractions, this sunny property welcomes families and friends seeking an escape to Salcombe.

Inside, you will discover the open-plan living space, where you can cook up a storm in the equipped kitchen, enjoy a meal as a family around the dining table, and relax on the sofas with your loved ones after a day of exploration.

As the evenings grow darker, venture further down the hallway to find two king-size bedrooms.

Wake up for the day by freshening up in the bath or rinsing off in the shower.

For added convenience one of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, ideal for catching some peace and quiet.

Just a short walk from the property is the town centre, via the pretty Victoria Quay, where you can watch the thrilling water sports and observe the crabbing competitions.

Kingsbridge 7 miles; Dartmouth 21 miles; Plymouth 24 miles; Paignton 26 miles.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
