    “Kitchen facilities could do with an update.”

The property

Soundings is a three-storey detached townhouse positioned on Raleigh Road, just a short walk from Salcombe’s beautiful waterfront, shops, restaurants, cafes and the passenger ferry running to unspoilt sandy beaches. This well-presented holiday home benefits from a well-equipped kitchen on the lower ground floor with black granite worktops, Stoves range cooker featuring a five-ring induction hob, two ovens, grill, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave whilst the large cupboard houses the washing machine and tumble dryer.

The dining area is furnished with a dining table and eight chairs, whilst bi-folding doors open out to the rear terrace and garden area.

The sitting room is comfortably furnished with two double sofas, a television and double French doors which open out onto the balcony whilst a oak and glass staircase winds down into the kitchen.

The cosy snug area provides a TV, bean bags and various board games and is found off the hallway.

Four bedrooms in total, the first is a King-size with an en suite shower room featuring a w.c., wash-hand basin, heated towel rail, shaver point and underfloor heating.

The second, a double, has plenty of storage and a television.

The third bedroom has a king-size bed, panoramic views, separate dressing room and an en suite with shower room with w.c., wash-hand basin, heated towel rail, shaver point and underfloor heating.

There is an additional twin bedroom with plenty of storage. There is a spacious family bathroom on the ground floor with shower, bath, w.c., basin, heated towel rail, shaver point and underfloor heating.

Externally to the rear of the house is a large, private lawn and stone terrace which is ideal for dining in the summer months, and is furnished with table and chairs, and a barbecue.

There is off-road parking for two medium sized cars.

Salcombe is a popular destination for walkers and families looking for a holiday by the sea and was once a major port. There are two pretty beaches within a short distance, North Sands and South Sands and further on is the National Trust property Overbeck’s where you can wander through the subtropical gardens. Why not have a more adventurous day and try out the watersports available on the estuary including surfing, kayaking or a more leisurely boat trip? Whilst staying in Salcombe you must take advantage of the locally sourced seafood which is served in many of the restaurants, pubs, cafés and delicatessens. The southern tip of Devon provides some spectacular scenery and picturesque vistas with a number of sandy beaches, lovely villages with thatched cottages and some fantastic opportunities for walking, including the South West Coast path.
