  • "Had a fabulous weeks stay at Lyme Mews, everything in the house that you could possibly need."

Very good location on the sea front shops and restaurants close by. Parked the car and didn't move it all week. Lucky with the weather no rain just cold and frosty. Will come back again.

The door handle in the en-suite has been replaced. The back door light is movement sensitive but must be switched on inside back door. I appreciate comments from a very loyal customer. Property Owner

The house has everything we needed, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We really liked the new bathroom. Lovely view from the lounge window and having the shops so close meant we hardly needed the car at all.

  • "All credit to tthe cleaner in this property."

Quirky layout to make the most of the sea view but we soon adapted. Very comfortable accomodation, but probably not suitable for the less mobile due to stairs. The only reason not 5 star is that there were a few minor maintenace issues such as loose toilet seats ( brackets worn out ). The kitchen was well equipped with crockery and utensils but the not so non stick frying pan needs replacing. That said I would thoroughly reccomend this property.

  • "We arrived to find the main tv in the lounge broken."

I wanted to watch the Rugby World Cup! I reported it to the cleaner first on Friday. A new TV arrived Thursday late afternoon. We moved the small tv from downstairs upstairs but it was a strain using it in the lounge. We helped the owner by confirming the main Tv has a major failure. The daily telephone and texts & calls spoilt our get-away holiday. The towels are worn, faded and hard and need replaced. Many of the upstairs chairs are old and fragile and we were too nervous to use them. The toilet seats need tightening. Some door handles are loose. The window in the main bedroom has a broken latch. As a holiday let, it did not meet our standards. All the seating we used was uncomfortable. From the positive side - parking was great. The kitchen is well equipped. The little garden was nice. The view was first class.

Good local amenities and convenient for many local eateries serving good food. The main attraction though is being directly opposite the beach. We were fortunate with the weather and enjoyed our beachside holiday .

The cottage had everything you would need and more. The views were outstanding. Especially as we saw dolphins in the bay toio. And having a shops right on your doorstep for an elderly person too. It was great that the beach was just across the road too. We're very sad to say goodbye. And we definitely can't wait to return.

Property just had new kitchen We arrived to scaffolding at front from nextdoor down 3 houses. A very noisy Monday afternoon for 2- 3 hours as it was taken down. Followed by a fence replaced between 5/6 so no privacy. The latter we had a phone call from owner before work commenced. This is reason for 8 score.

  • "Excellent holiday home."

I tried to award 5 stars but the Sykes survey only allowed me to highlight 4 stars ! House very clean. Beds extremely comfortable. Sky tv and sky sports channels ! Kitchen very well equipped. 3 bathrooms- all very clean. A walk in shower in the master bedroom - much appreciated. A designated parking spot - essential and very welcome. Best of all...the house is on the seafront...with a balcony...and magnificent views. 5 stars ! The Sykes survey needs clarifying...I wasn't sure whether 1 or 4 was very good. The first question suggests 10 is good and 1 poor. So I opted for 4s on succeeding questions as this appeared to be the best score I could award... This is an outstanding holiday let .

New mattresses and a Sky Q box were good and it was a lot cleaner than the last time we visited, which I believe was a glitch. We were lucky with the weather, which always helps, but even in poor weather the view from the living room is constantly interesting. We didn't need to get the car out of the garage all week so it was a very relaxing holiday.

  • "Sea view puts any minor criticism in the shade."

.. Absolutely brilliant! Minor quibbles: There is a small library of DVDs on the first floor, where the main TV resides along with settee and armchairs, but you can't watch DVDs on that TV... because the DVD PLAYER is on the ground floor in the small study(?) with just a 2-seater settee. The living room TV could be bigger, we had to pull it forward into the centre of the room to avoid eye-strain (settee too heavy to move). Why mention DVDs in such a beautiful setting? Well, we had torrential rain and 40-50 mph winds for the first 5 days... (but we did get to see HMS Queen Elizabeth at anchor in the bay for 24 hours). One caveat: if you are getting on and live in a flat or bungalow, you will struggle with the stairs over 3 floors, especially as the master bedroom (loved the mattress) is on the top floor. Minor issues, as I said, and I would heartily recommend 6 Lyme Mews for a family but, sadly, this 78 year-old flat-dweller will have to give it a miss.

We also walked to Beer and back from the house and on another day walked from Beer head to Branscombe and back. When the weather was awful we watched the waves from the sofa and the house was very warm with plenty of hot water. The house was very well equipped, clean and comfortable.

The view is spectacular from the balcony. Others have mentioned the old furniture but we felt it just made the property quirky and we were there for a break, not moving in! • "We love Seaton anyway but this house was new for us and it is brilliant."

Fantastic sea views from the lounge & master bedroom & so much in teams of cutlery/crockery/household stuff; we could not have asked for more. One minor point is that the garage at the back is at a lower level so you have to go down steps to it & the corner of the garage sticks out at head level as you descend. My husband hit his head as he was going past with an armful of stuff, watching his feet on the steps, not his head. It made quite a mess. I'm sure something could be done to make it safer.

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback following your recent stay at 6 Lyme Mews. We have spoken with the owner who has confirmed that she will attend to the rounding off of the garage corner. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and look forward to welcoming you back. • "The main concern was the cleanliness."

This house needs a deep clean. We could not fault the beds nor bedding. We were very surprised to find other peoples clothes in the bedroom drawers in the main bedroom. This made us feel uncomfortable. The owner probably leaves some of her clothes for when she is there. The house needs de cluttering and re furbishing. Saying all of these constructive comments, we will definitely return as the location was perfect. We spent hours on the balcony people watching. The balcony made our holiday.

The owners are delighted that you loved the location and balcony and will be returning again next year. Her cleaner was on holiday the week of your visit and she apologizes if her replacement did not prepare the house to the normal standard. There is plenty of drawer space at the property. The owner uses the ceiling height drawer for her own essentials. Property Owner

The flat is set over three floors and is extremely well maintained, very comfortable and within walking distance of Seaton Town Centre and Seaton Tramway with on site parking at the back of the flat. There is a large a Tesco store about 1 minute’s walk outside the back door. As this flat sleeps 6 people comfortably with one double bed with on suite shower room on the top floor overlooking the sea, another bedroom with two singles on the top floor and a bedroom with two singles on the first floor wherev5erebiscalso,another bathroom. Also on the first floor is a lovely large sitting room overlooking the sea which is very comfortable and there is a small balcony off this which would be lovely to sit on given the right weather. On the ground floor there is another small sitting room and a very well equipped kitchen and and also another toilet. There is a front door leading to the beach and a back door leading to the parking area and to a large Tesco store just across the road. It is a very god place to stay as it is very easy to get lots of places of interest around the Devon Coast and inland tom Exmoor. We had a wonderful week even though the weather was not brilliant and would definitely stay in this flat again. This flat would suit a family, as long as they are not very young children or two or three sets of adults. Everything you could possibly need is provided including basic food items in the kitchen cupboard and there are plenty of places to eat in and around Seaton. Also, if you do wish to eat in, the flat is well equipped with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. The only thing I would say, is that as there are two flights of stairs in the flat, it may not be suitable for people who have difficulty with stairs. I would like to thank the owners of this flat for such a wonderfully well equipped and comfortable flat in a wonderful location with the best parking space we have ever had when staying in a holiday flat and for the cleaners who get the flat immaculate. WD would definitely stay again if we are going to be in this part of Devon..

At night, I had the bedroom window open, and could fall asleep to the sound of the waves. It felt as if I was on a cruise ship! The house was comfortable, spacious and well equipped. There are a couple of minor maintenance issues that could be dealt with by the owner: the valve on the radiator on the lounge is broken and is almost falling off, and the lavatory seats are loose. Otherwise, an excellent holiday house. I plan to return in the autumn.
