  • "Lovely place, fantastic location."

Ideal for exploring Dartmoor. Lovely hosts. Cheese and biscuits a really nice touch.

  • "What a lovely cottage, sympathetically renovated and tastefully decorated the Meeting House is a delightful place to stay."

The views are stunning and yes it's remote and up narrow winding lanes but this can be expected in Devon. The property is spotlessly clean, well equipped and the bed is spacious. The welcome platter of local cheeses was delicious. Clive the owner is a great character and very helpful. All in all a wonderful holiday. Thank you.

Perfectly situated, with wonderful hosts, is the reason we came back this year and have already booked for next year.

  • "A terrific place to spend a peaceful break."

This is our second visit. The Meeting House is our ideal venue - a clean and comfortable base set in a great location with access to good walks and lovely countryside, and friendly and helpful hosts on hand (and a lovely garden to nose around). Couldn’t ask for more.

  • "A fabulous break in a lovely setting."

The hosts were very welcoming and supportive throughout our visit. The property was immaculate and comfortable high quality accommodation and facilities throughout. The cottage location itself is very hard to find… especially if arriving in the evening… and could be sign posted and described clearer given its position along a lengthy private road. At the end of the day it is a great cottage in a lovely location with a beautiful garden, fantastic views with cows and sheep grazing in the surrounding fields. Thoroughly recommend this cottage.

Thank you for completing your feedback. We are so glad you had a lovely holiday and enjoyed both the property and its location. We are sorry that you had difficulties in finding the property, it isn't possible to put up signs as the road is a local authority road and not a private road. We do advise in the directions we send out to all guests, using the What3Words app and we provide the three words, which will then bring you straight to the property. Property Owner

  • "A very comfortable set up, with beautiful views on the very edge of Dartmoor."

The perfect peace is something you don't often find these days. The road to the property is up single lane roads and perhaps not for a timid driver but you do quickly get used to this.

The surroundings are superb and the garden is amazing. Welcoming and friendly hosts who are on hand but never intrusive. Having no wifi/phone signal took a bit of getting used to but it was nice to switch off. We have rebooked for next year!
