Alas customer service less so. Whilst on a short visit to Exeter Christmas Market my husband recieved an very alarming call from The owner who advised our dog was howling, "didn't you read the TCs" no dog is allowed to be left alone. We hadn't tbh, my husband advised we would curtail our visit and come straight back. No sign of Todd our spocker doing anything but laying on his bed. I'm absolutely

Hi, so glad you enjoyed your stay in Hawthorns for the most part. Regarding your dog Todd and the need for Karen to call Kevin . Sykes rules are clear no dogs are to be left unaccompanied in the property at anytime (even crated). This is because your insurance is invalidated and any damage caused by what could be a distressed dog would essentially fall to us. If sofas are damaged for example it can also mean the cancellation of the next guests holiday, as owners we strive to ensure all our guests receive the highest level of experience at Lambscombe. The rules are there for all and stated when booking by the agent as well as contained in the terms and conditions therefore the listing is accurate. Lots of people take their dogs with them to the Christmas market as most stores and food places let them in year round(Devon is probably the most dog friendly county we know). Thank you for you feedback. Regards, Damon & Karen Property Owner

Thank you to Damon and Karen ...Damon even went so far to give lucas his own private paddling pool during the heatwave and Karen introduced us to Betsy the tortoise. Nothing was too much hassle, perfect hosts. Loved the rolling devon hills, high quality fixtures and furnishings and beds very comfy (I'm usually fussy about mattresses). Weber bbq lovely addition and welcomed during heatwave for bbq's. Lucas the dog loved his stay also. Hot tub held its temperature well. Gem of Devon...would book again.

The farm is very quiet and peaceful. We stayed as 2 adults and 4 children, who all loved the hot tub. We also took our dog so it was handy to have an enclosed front garden. Lovely view of the countryside from the cottage. Bonus was the chocolate cake that had been left for our arrival- delicious thank you
