  • "We had a wonderful stay at 6 bolt head."

It was very clean and was done out beautifully. It was much more spacious than I thought it was going to be and had everything we needed for our holiday. The view of the sea from the apartment was amazing and the location was perfect for exploring nearby areas.

  • "Second time at this apartment."

Location is excellent, views amazing. Proximity to two good hotels for food abs the beach cafe whilst being able to walk into town is ideal for us. Apartment really well equipped, kitchen has every single utensil.

  • "On the day of leaving we had to take the keys back into Salcombe when they could easily have been left at the property."

Negotiating Salcombe in a car isn’t fun. We had two cars as my dad is disabled, so travelling together. I left the property beautifully clean as I would my own home, stripping bedding, cleaning toilets, sinks and vacuuming, however In doing so I felt like a council flat tenant being threatened with losing my bond, rather than a holiday maker. I realise that this policy is in place for good reason, but if I was to pay £2,500 a week in a hotel they would be in my room everyday cleaning it for me. The property is fantastic with beautiful views we have used coast and country four times now. Before this camping in the area for 43 years.

  • "Not the cleaniest of the rooms upon arrival, as used tissues were found under the main bed and hair strands in the corner of the kitchen / living room."

The vacuum cleaner was found to be full and there was no vacuum cleaner nozzle attachment or dust pan available. The black bags provided to place used bed linen at end of stay seem too small. Tip/ Warning: something to keep the long seat along the back of the kitchen worktop away from the worktop wall would be recommended, as anyone tall can easily hit their back of their head on the very hard kitchen worktop edge when sitting down, OUCH!! The apartment was a good size, great to have a large upright fridge freezer. As the apartment could hold easily 5 persons, a 2nd set of keys would have been useful. A great week away for exploring the wider area, anyone who has trouble reversing a car along narrow roads should avoid this part of Devon! TIP: Fuel is more expensive in the area, IF travelling south along A38 enroute to Salcombe, call into TRAGO MILLS petrol station as its the cheapest in the area. A two vehicle group could have a problem with parking as only one parking space allocated, an arrangement with other apartments would help if not occupied? Beautiful place / location, best when the weather is good.

Many thanks for taking the time to provide your feedback. We are so pleased you had a great week although disappointed to hear you encountered some cleanliness issues on arrival. Please know that if you had made us aware of any issues during your stay we would have done our best to rectify them as soon as possible. We have passed your comments onto the cleaner who will address these matters. We apologise for any inconvenienced caused, we are thrilled that you have booked to come to 6 Bolt Head again next year and we look forward to seeing you then. Property Owner

We were not informed of this fact. It was taken down the day before we left.

We can only apologise that you were not informed of the scaffolding prior to your arrive. Unfortunately there was a leak in the roof and essential work had to be carried out. We are sorry for any inconvenience cause and we hope to welcome you back to the area very soon. Property Owner

  • "This is a lovely apartment with stunning views, very well equipped and a high standard of decoration."

It was exceptionally clean! The drive to the property can be a little daunting for those not used to the roads near South Sands with lots of reversing backwards down the hill! We had a lovely stay and would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break. We struggle to find any faults but a couple of things that the owners may wish to consider would be investing in new pillows, they were a little flat. Also, maybe have lined curtains in the master bedroom as the current ones don’t keep out the light in the morning. However these things may not concern other guests.

  • "Two sets of keys would be useful."

We had to ask for a second key and return again for a fob. Both key and fob are required to enter the apartment at all times, not just from the car park. The lamp in the twin room makes a fizzing sound occasionally, it needs checking.
