  • "We had a lovely time at St Elmo Court."

The apartment was exactly as described, comfortable and well equipped. The swimming pool was an added bonus given the incredible hot and sunny weather during our stay. We enjoyed an afternoon dip after returning from our days out. Having a lift was helpful in getting our bags etc., up to the first floor. We only had one small problem, identifying the bin store to collect the key, but thankfully a resident pointed us in the right direction. A great holiday enjoying trips on the various ferries, beautiful beaches, and restaurants in Salcombe.

  • "We had a lovely week at Valley View."

It was so much more than we expected. Plenty of space, lovely outside space with a great view, fully equipped kitchen and great location. Easy access to North Sands without too much of a climb! The property was lovely and clean and so pleasant to be in on the rainy days! Laundry room was a real plus, and the heated pool was fantastic and really added to the holiday. We would highly recommend.

  • "Everything fine with the property but we had workmen working all week in the apartment immediately below us, some of the days were extremely noisy with power tools being used all day."

This should not be happening in the middle of June, apparently talking to an owner at the complex, all work should have been done by the end of March! Had we known this we would NOT have booked our holiday. I have emailed you and Coast and Country but no reply so far, so a zero for recommendation for your company.

Many thanks for leaving your feedback. We are please you liked the property, we can only apologise that works were carried out during your stay. We were unaware of this prior to your arrival and they should not have been carried out at this time. I am pleased to say that the works have now stopped, however we are truly sorry they interrupted your stay. We have searched our inbox and unfortunately cannot find a correspondence from yourself, please feel free to resend this or call our office to discuss the matter further. We do hope you managed to have a lovely holiday and enjoyed all the area has to offer. Property Owner

  • "I think this is our fourth visit to 9 St Elmo and it’s always lovely to come back as it’s so roomy and comfortable and all the great cooking and washing facilities there, and of course the beautiful views of the sea beach from the balcony and bedroom, absolute bliss."

We were also so lucky with the weather and the fact that the crowds hadn’t arrived yet! On the slightly negative side, the correct pool code hadn’t been put in the flat, so several phone calls to remedy that. The grass around the pool badly needed cutting, and the area around the pool needed a good clean, it’s always before been so well looked after. Also some lights weren’t working in bedroom and radio in bedroom needs updating, couldn’t make it work, and I do love having the radio on first thing. I’m sure these will be fixed before next visit. Lovely place, quiet, with beautiful gardens.

  • "I mailed you 4 days ago about the towel radiator next to the shower in the main bathroom being permanently cold but have received no response from you."

The only way to get it to heat up is to turn on the flat c/h to max which was not desirable in the heat this week It has been the same on our last 3 vacation to this property and it is therefore unlikely we will return. The cleaner last October told us this bathroom was to be up graded. It is just about adequate but not brilliant. Dr Martin Henry

  • "As discussed by telephone."

Positives Large flat Good Location Beautiful Views. Generally of good clean appearance Negatives Mattress on double bed needs to be replaced. Deep dips, no support and heavily stained! Shower in en-suite smelled very badly of damp/mould after use, which also meant the bedroom smelled, Cushions on the sofa's very stained and dirty.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave you feedback. We are so pleased you loved the location, the views really are amazing. We can only apologies for any issues you encountered during your stay, I am pleased to say that the mattress has now been replaced and that your other comments have been sent to the owner and addressed. We do hope you had a lovely holiday and enjoyed all Salcombe has to offer. Property Owner

I had brought essentials like washing up liquid etc but. There was no need. Brilliant stay and very comfortable.

  • "We had a lovely stay in this delightful apartment."

There was everything provided that we needed. We had a problem with the shower but was quickly rectified. As I was suffering from a painful fracture at the time, all I needed was comfort and peace - and the apartment provided both of these! Very well situated for sightseeing and a beautiful view from the balcony. Would love to return one day and would certainly recommend a stay here

  • "We couldn't get the shower in the ensuite to work but it wasn't a problem as we used the shower in the other bathroom instead; it may have been a problem if another couple were staying with us though."

Also we didn't find the shower mats until we were leaving (they were in the linen basket in the corner of the bathroom with the towels piled on top). I suggest they be left rolled up in the shower itself - we used a small towel in the shower instead to stop us slipping.

  • "No real complaints…the shower in the main bedroom is looking it’s age and the radiator next to it needs bleeding ( hot at bottom but cold at top) Two sets of front door keys would be good then we wouldn’t have to hide the one set in the garden when we go our separate ways during the day !"

The apartment is very light , spacious and well equipped ; the kitchen has everything you need . There are easy walks to South Sands where there are very nice restaurants and the ferry , then further along to the coastal path , which has wonderful views . Salcombe is a short drive away , parking can be challenging however lots of places to eat and drink . We visited during the music festival and very much enjoyed listening to local bands .
