"Such a lovely little cottage, situated in the heart of the village of Stokenham Devon."
Two lovely pubs a minutes walk away. It was well equipped, very comfy bed and a lovely log burner. Great location for exploring the beautiful Devon country side.
"The courage is very well appointed and in a good location."
Overall very good. But you need to get some minor but irritating things sorted. The TV remote hardly works even when I fitted new batteries . The TV had to be turned on and off at the mains to get it to turn on . The DVD doesnt work as the cable connection is wrong . If you want to connect an old DVD to this TV you need a combined audio and visual lead ( CVBS ). Better to but a new DVD , so cheap . Also the nice Roberts radio didn't work either, fortunately brought our own. On the positive side it did have Netflix which was very useful. Finally get rid of the pans that dont work on the induction hob , whats the point ?
"The property was advertised as having a DVD player."
This was important to us as a couple in our sixties who don`t go out in the evenings much. The DVD supplied di not connect to the TV as they were incompatible, the DVD being very old and cheap had a double scart lead but the TV being more modern was flat screen withe no scart socket but just the newer HDMI sockets. After several conversations withe more than one agent it proved impossible to get them to understand the problem( or maybe they were just unwilling to understand because to solve it requires an update of the DVD) The problem was compounded by there being no mobile signal in the cottage which is out of your control I accept. The real annoyance came when we returned to the cottage on the Wednesday to find a new double ended scart lead on the table which was of absolutely no use at all as we had already explained that we had one of those but it is incompatible with the TV. Having payed a lot of money to hire the cottage I did not expect to have to search high and low for a non existent piece of equipment which is what the agent asked us to do. Nor did I expect to find an antiquated DVD which was in a cupboard, obviously because the previous occupants couldn`t to get it to work either. So NO I am not happy or satisfied on this occasion.
Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are sorry that we were not able to resolve the issue with the DVD player satisfactorily during your time at Lee Cottage, the correct lead is now in place. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused, and hope that despite this issue, you were able to enjoy your time in Devon. Property Owner
"Very quaint cosy cottage."
Enjoyed the peace and quiet also the log burning stove. Everything provided and beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds. Convenient parking. The M & S gift box with chocolates and shortbread and other goodies was a nice surprise. Would definitely recommend Lee Cottage.
"Had a lovely holiday at Lee Cottage and would certainly recommend to anyone."
Our only problem was that a couple of times the hob went onto lock and we had to wait for a long time for using it again,we have an induction hob at home and the only thing we think you should check would be that the set of pans do not seem to be for an induction hob. The frying pan is.This is not a complaint as we had a lovely time in such a quaint place .Thankyou
