"Great holiday home for a large family holiday."
Very well equipped, Beautiful location and views from the house.
"The cottage was fantastic, it had everything (double actually (dishwasher, cutleries you name it)), was clean and spacious and with the large garden also very good for the boys to play in."
We really had nothing to wish for, even the weather was very agreeable, so it was a very pleasant stay all in all. Really great that you can walk out onto the coastal path at the back, amazing views there!
"Postponed three times in the last two years because of Covid we were so pleased to actually get here and to find the house and the location was even better than we had been imagining."
Perfect for our group of 6 adults and 3 children and we thought it the best holiday house we had stayed in. A special thank you to the owners for the lovely meal put in the fridge for our arrival.
"Possibly due to current restrictions and the amount of high tech equipment, more instructions could be provided e."

"We enjoyed our stay at the cottage."
Great position and amazing views. Very comfortable interior which would be very flexible for larger groups. We have only marked it down on cleanliness because the fridge shelves in the main fridge evidently hadn’t been cleaned and there was a sticky residue on one of the kitchen sides. Everything else was great
"Wonderful house with views to match ."
"Never stayed in a house before that was equipped so well!"
Very clean and stunning views. Every bedroom was lovely. Downstairs accommodation totally met everyone's needs.Very friendly and helpful owner.
"This property was just perfect for us to stay in."
There was so much space that even with 7 of us at one point we didn’t feel in each other’s way. The garden was fantastic to sit out and eat in and for the children to run around and be children in. The house was very well equipped. Would definitely recommend/ return to. Very sad to be leaving and wished we’d booked two weeks!
"The house was excellent and superbly furnished and equipped."
We had a minor problem with the barbecue which was swiftly resolved by the concierge, caretaker and owner. We are in our sixties and have rented at least one property each year for around 50 years but this one was the best. All of the group, us wrinklies , our daughter and her husband and our two young granddaughters all thought the property and facilities were outstanding. It helped that the weather was fabulous.
"We had a most enjoyable week at Landcombe Cottage , lovely views and accessible to the pretty cove of Landcombe beach if you don’t mind a steep climb back ."
We found the accommodation was perfect for our 2 families with plenty of space , beds were extremely comfortable, the house was so well equipped , all in all a very pleasant week away and we would certainly book this property again and recommend to friends
"Landcombe Cottage was perfect in every way."
Great location, amazing views, spacious and extremely well equipped. All furnishings and equipment were plentiful and of high quality; I certainly plan to stay there again in the not too distant future.
"We have stayed in the property previously and were not disappointed despite the obvious impact of Covid."
The house provides great views towards the sea and instant access to the coastal path. The property was well presented very clean and catered for all of our needs. The location is great for exploring everything that the area has to offer including walking, cycling, Dartmouth ,Greenway House ,eating out etc
"Landcombe Cottage gave us the most wonderful of holidays."
The house is probably the best holiday house my family have ever stayed in - from its location, its comfort, its views, its garden, and how everything has been so well thought through. The 2 dishwashers were such a treat! It was so well kitted out and the space was big enough for the family to really enjoy (from a baby, to young children, to grandparents). We found the beds beyond comfortable (and what a view to wake up to every morning) and the bathroom layout was just superb (not to mention the amazing shower). Thank you so much for everything. Our only slight disappointment was the wifi as it seemed to come and go (ordinarily not an issue but some of our group were meant to be doing some work whilst away). However, this will not deter us - we very much hope to come again another year as it really was one of the best holidays; thank you!
"A great location to stay."
The house was very comfortable and spacious, well equipped, and it had an uplifting sea view. Fantastic to open your bedroom curtains to see it every morning. The owners left a welcome hamper, which was kind and much appreciated. The village shop was well stocked, sold local produce, and the owner was very friendly and helpful in giving us local information. Great walks, and the bus served places of interests to save on driving and giving the drivers amongst us the opportunity to take in the stunning countryside. Recommended.
"Beautiful house in a stunning location."
Preparations for covid-19 were superb.
"The house was gorgeous!"
Spacious and ideal for a family or large group. The kitchen and dining area were perfect for a large number of guests. 2 dishwashers and 4 washing machines - we were spoilt! The views of the garden and sea were beautiful and the surrounding countryside and coastal areas were stunning. We could walk the coastal path from our garden and one afternoon, we walked to Blackpool Sands which is a very pretty beach. Dartmouth is 10 minutes away - a very pretty coastal resort. Lots to see and do - the Rare Breeds Farm is highly recommended too.
"Wonderful house, perfectly situated along the coastal road for little outings by car (Totnes, Dartmouth, Start Point Light House), or hike part of the coastal path."
Or you can just stay at home and enjoy the view from the lawn and meadows towards the ocean. Everything in the house is of good quality and very clean, there's plenty of kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery. Thank you to the owners and the caretakers for having the house is such a condition and sharing it with us!
"Cottage was lovely."
Spotlessly clean, well equipped and in a beautiful location with stunning views. Garden good for games, bbq, just sitting in the sun etc. Some beautiful beaches nearby as well as historic towns.
"The property fully lived up to all our expections."
Great view and peaceful location to base your holiday from.
"The House exceeded our expectations."
The quality of the interior equipment was first class. Would highly recommend the property.
"The bedrooms were lovely and the views amazing."
A great place for walks and near to several beautiful National Trust houses.
"Landcombe Cottage is a lovely house in a very beautiful location."
It would be a magical place in a good summer, and I did wonder how it would work in December. However, we found it most delightfully decorated for Christmas - even a small complimentary Christmas cake! - and once the building had warmed up a bit, we all enjoyed being there. The house itself is extremely well equipped and the village warm and welcoming - we received great kindness from both the shop and the pub. The owner does not live locally but was very friendly and helpful on the phone, and the local managers/caretakers could not have been more helpful.
"The loveliest cottage in the most beautiful location!"
It’s large sunny garden overlooked the sea with breath taking views. I could sit and gaze for hours. The rooms were lovely clean and bright with some quirky artwork! We could walk to many of the beaches, great local pub restaurant and shop. The kitchen was the most well stocked in terms of equipment I have ever seen. The perfect location for exploring Dartmouth and Salcombe and much more. Precious memories with the family. Anyone who can fault this place, I would suggest the issue must be you!!!
"We have had a fabulous holiday at Landcombe Cottage."
The house was immaculate with quality furniture, fixture & fittings. The kitchen exceedingly well equipped. The bedrooms large with comfortable beds & the most fantastic views over the sea. All in all it could not have been better. The village of Strete is pleasant & well located. We had a super meal at the Laughing Monk.
"8 in our family aged from 15-86 yrs stayed at Landcombe Cottage."
The house is lovely, light and spacious and incredibly well equipped.
"Fabulous holiday home with magnificent views over the beautiful Devon coastline."
