“The holiday cottage was beautiful, however the AGA cooker advertised wasn’t on (hadn’t been all winter) meaning having to cook on tiny cook in cold outhouse away from kitchen facilities.”

We made the booking on this property 4 months ago and were never contacted or given any indication that we wouldn’t be able to use aga. Also there was no fuel pack for wood burner (asa advertises) heating heated upstairs of property but down stairs was left chilly. We were annoyed as these two particular features are the main reason we picked the cottage! On arrival the property did have a strong smell of dog and could have done with a dust, there was no welcome book or guest book. It was stated in description that there was an area for kids to play (grass really overgrown) and a game’s console, normally this would not interest us however there were a few days we couldn’t go out due to bad storms and we could have done with using console to keep kids entertained. Console couldn’t be used as parts missing and only empty games cases! It really was a shame as it’s beautiful accommodation and lovely location, very comfortable just let down by it description of facilities!
