  • "No toilet downstairs!"

disappointed with the cottage outlook! patio area not viable. living room crampted! needs re-arranging.

There are not many properties that are nearly 200 years old that have an inside down stairs toilet and it's not advertised as having one. Thank you for the 100%clean review Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage and great owners."

My husband has mobility issues and cottage was ideal, good shower room with seat, handles etc, we were able to bring mobility scooter into cottage. Easy access to town, railway station etc. Very clean and comfortable

  • "Fabulous cottage, super clean, has everything you could need and well placed 5 mins walk into town."

No car parking outside but easily parked the other side of dual carriageway and could bring the car back to the house to pick up. Great location in Devon for exploring that coastline and lots to do in the vicinity. Only downside is lack of outside space, but we knew that when booking and there’s so much to do it wasn’t a problem. Owners really helpful and friendly, couldn’t do enough for us, Thankyou x

  • "Absolutely lovely little gem, not far from the sea front…absolutely perfect for walking from."

Even though parking is limited, the hosts saved us a spot for us when we arrived and showed us where we could park (really not that far away). The property was very clean, tidy and a home from home. My only regret is booking one week there instead of two! The area is absolutely beautiful, so much to see and do. We will be back!

It's very well equipped and Liz and Trevor were only too happy to help if needed. Cleanliness was great and it catered beautifully for our needs. I would recommend this cottage.

  • "Cottage is very convenient position to supermarket, beaches, harbour, town centre and train station."

All walkable distance although obviously a slope is involved. Didn't require car parking so unable to comment on availability. Super walk in shower in bathroom and very clean throughout. We were able to have a very quiet relaxing holiday.

  • "The cottage is well placed, just 4/5 minutes to walk into the town centre."

Car parking is a bit of an issue, but we did manage to find street parking nearby. Teignmouth is well placed for exploring the south coast of Devon. The cottage has many of its original features, but benefits from a modern kitchen and shower room.

Enjoyed the holiday very much with only downside being the lack of a proper parking facility but that is something we shall be more aware of checking on for any future holiday reservations we may make

  • "Tolvarne is a lovely holiday cottage extremely well located in Teignmouth - easy walking distance to shops and beaches."

Liz is a fantastic and friendly host who puts a lot of care into looking after you and making sure you are happy. Cottage has WiFi but signal is not strong or consistent so not suitable for working. A good find and a great stay thank you.

  • "Cottage is fine for 2, probably ok for 3, but I would think crowded for 4."

Parking is at least 50 yds away across a sometimes busy road. Parking there is not guaranteed as it is on-street parking in front of houses with no garages, therefore crowded. You can park outside the cottage for unloading and loading. Location is quite good, being 5-10 minutes walk from most places of interest. Very helpful owners live very close by.

  • "The house really felt like a home from home."

It had everything we needed and was in a great location which was quiet but a great base to explore. Very close to the train station. The only difficulty we had was car parking as the area is permits only, but we were able to park it over the road easily enough. Friendly owner. We'd stay again.

Great local advice from them too. We had a little problem with a TV cable but it was rectified straight away The cottage is in an excellent location, minutes from the pubs, pier and shops. All in all a winner in my book.
