  • "Couldn’t have wished for more - apart from the usual things that make a stay in a holiday property perfect - comfort, cleanliness and facilities - there was the wonderful added bonus of the estuary-facing decking area (and the lovely walk down the access path)."

Perfection! Also, the easy access to other locations - Sidmouth by bus, Topsham by train and beautiful Exmouth itself. It made our annual reunion (three retired ladies) very special.

  • "Fabulous stay in wonderful property, which backs onto the beach in the centre of Exemouth, 10 minutes to walk everywhere!"

Recommend eating at Savour and of course the River Exe Cafe. Loved the little train to Exeter and Teignmouth. Had a fantastic 2 week stay.

  • "Lovely house."

We spent the week on or beside the water - no need to leave the property!

  • "Fantastic holiday, great house and feature garden with great direct access to the Estuary - perfect for paddle boarding and kayaking."

House is well equiped, modern and nice and clean. Location is excellent as you can walk to pretty much everything you would want - restaurants, beach, cinema (rainy days). Worked really well for 5 of us and a dog. Definitely recommend and will be back!

  • "Lovely house in and excellent location adjacent to the creek."

Super that we were able to use the kayaks and paddleboards.

  • "A lovely, quirky, modern cottage with the most fabulous views of the Exmouth estery from your Own decking, leading to the water."

A wonderful kitchen, which was used often as we just relaxed on the decking watching the world go by all week. Only a few minutes walk to all amenities that you may need, plus fabulous views while your walking. A downstairs loo would be a great addition. The gate at the front needs replacing or painting. White sheets and duvet covers would be an extra bonus too. (Personal preference only) A relaxed week was had by all, would definitely recommend this cottage. Karyn Whitehead

  • "The house and garden backing on to the estuary were amazing."

A couple of points, the stairs are steep and the tread narrow , unsustainable for anyone with mobility issues. The settees were too low and uncomfortable. Other than that it was perfect. 10 minutes walk to town and 5 minutes walk to the Quay.

  • "Amazing location with plenty of places (inside and outside) to sit and enjoy the ever changing view of the estuary."

Interior is full of interesting touches, which add to the laid back ambiance. Malcolm was very friendly and accommodating and texted information about the house, which was very useful - we know Exmouth very well but it might be helpful for those who don’t, to have information about the local area? Other than that, we all really enjoyed our stay especially the Cocker Spaniel and the two year old little girl!

  • "Had a lovely week and the house is lovely."

As with many holiday places you find that the hoover doesn't work that well, there are always light bulbs missing, new batteries needed etc - obviously until these things go at the time then you don't know, but it is a little irk, might be worth checking now and then! Just being honest, the pillow cases and a few of the towels were a bit smelly, but we just washed them. That said it doesn't impact on the holiday - the house itself and the view were gorgeous. Loved the quirky decor. Would stay again, maybe in the summer where you could appreciate the outdoor space more.

The decor was fantastic and everything was sparkling clean and tidy. The outside space and views were absolutely charming and the location was great. We felt like honoured guests with the extra touches. Thank you for a great week!

Do not however expect to be able to Street park, places are like hens teeth, book with the East Devon car park web site, the closest site is at the end of the road, £25 for a week and you can use other East Devon car parks .

  • "Fantastic!!!"

We absolutely loved this property! It is in a wonderful location that is for sure but add to that a wonderfully curated interior leading out onto the decked garden and then on to the beach...amazing...we could not fault it at all. We and our grown up children and their partners all stayed and there was room enough for is all..plenty of varied seating areas through out to chill out and then come together to eat. Fabulous!

  • "My family of four stayed at Camperdown Terrace in August and had a wonderful holiday in a home away from home environment."

The hosts were incredibly helpful, sending through all of the information that we required prior to our arrival and providing a bbq for us. They had pre-set up the wood-burner fires and a fire pit in the garden which made it so easy to get snuggle/toast marshmallows whilst looking at the incredible stars. There was also a lovely welcome gift awaiting us when we arrived. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were dark. The showers were great and the kitchen left me wanting for nothing. Our absolute favourite thing was the garden, my husband could sit in the rocking chair in the shade, whilst our children either sat at the little garden bar type area, or went across the estuary to the park and I could sit in the sun or practice yoga with the sound of the wind chime. The owners kindly left their paddle boards and kayaks. I made use of the paddle board but it's worth noting that it's easiest at high tide, during our stay one of the high tides was in the middle of the night and so we only had one during the day - worth considering when booking. We loved taking our dog out over the sandy plains during low tide and found the most beautiful shells. There's also an M&S food hall a 5-10 minute walk away across the park. The only frustrating thing was parking but as we arrived late we were able to stop in the street whilst we unloaded the car and then put the car in the car park. The following day when a space became available we quickly popped our car in it's spot. I would definitely recommend Camperdown Terrace.
