I had no reply so I rang them on my return and sent pics again. Also glass under sofa and dirty dishes and cupboards. However, we enjoyed our stay. Fantastic location and very well equipped but no sadly Cork screw . Shame dogs can't stay as I would have come again.

The weather was super and we soaked up the views from the wonderful patio area. Enjoyed walks, sunsets and this property - which offers everything you could need during your stay. We’ve already booked for June 2024!

  • "The apartment was lovely, as usual (this was our 9th visit to No."

7), well-equipped, very comfortable and, of course, amazing views! The weather was good and we used the swimming pool every day. The only, slight, issues were some moths in the cupboard in the master bedroom and some items in the kitchen not being very clean -we had to empty out the cutlery draw, wash all the cutlery and the container; the oven gloves and apron were VERY dirty, encrusted with food -it took 2 washes to get them clean. The only other issue, which we have raised before, is the lack of recycling facilities- we end up with our recycling piled up all around us on the way home until we can find somewhere to drop it off -I really do think the apartments should have to provide recycling facilities.

  • "We had a wonderful stay here and have already booked a week next year!"

It's got the best location of all of the apartments there and the view is stunning! It is really well equipped especially in the kitchen and utility room. And access to spare things if needed, and lots of games/puzzles. It also has lots of extra beach things - wetsuits, beach toys, body boards. Beds are comfortable, showers are good. Tiny feedback is that we thought the pillows in the main bedroom could be firmer, but we're aware that's very subjective. Thanks for having us. There was a very minor issue with the property on the first day, but C&C kept us up-to-date and it wasn't a problem as we knew they were managing it.

  • "The appartment was great, but we had a lot of moth in the whole appartment."

We could get in contact with te owner and killed several dozends. We liked our stay anyway. Coast and Country contacted us after our return and told that the person who was in charge for the appartment and gave us her contacts was on holiday while we stayed there. I guess they will do something against the moths now. We had to clean our whole lugage, after returning home.

  • "This was our fifth stay at 7 Thurlestone Rock and we love it."

The property is smart and up to date but also comfortable and relaxing. It is well stocked with games, books, puzzles and videos. It is always lovely to stay in a property with a properly equipt kitchen too. The situation is stunning of course. We enjoyed the new kitchen and bathroom. Only one thing that would be an improvement - the lovely big new shower could really use a grab rail or a flip down seat; it is impossible to use for anyone elderly, disabled or simply unsteady on their feet (as my 80 year old mother realized - the shower over the bath is equally impossible). Otherwise, fabulous as ever. Thank you.

  • "We recently stayed at 7 Thurlestone Rock, and based on the listing, photos and reviews we look forward to it (First holiday post-lockdown) We were thoroughly let down - Let me explain The property is ideally located (you honestly cannot get better), and very spacious with 3 bedrooms,2 bathrooms and a lounge area that gives superb beach/sea views across 2 angles."

The owners have all their bits and pieces across the property and you are encourage to use as you wish (books, dvds, game, binoculars, even some paddle boats, canoes etc.) However there are 2 major drawbacks to the property 1) Being a ground floor flat we were subjected to kids running and thumping (loudly) across the floor and could hear when someone went for a tinkle - not great!! 2) It is horribly let down by the management company (Sykes AKA Coast and Country). The property has not had a thorough clean in months and that clearly shows across all the mirrors, ornaments and general items. This has led to the dirt being ingrained in certain areas (e.g. lace curtains) But that aside, the flat was totally filthy on arrival, the floors had not been vacuumed, out of date food/sweets in the kitchen, the mats were totally sand filled, the kitchen stove had a grill pan that had not been cleaned (someone had recently enjoined a roast of some kind), the general stove racks were greasy and something had "exploded" in the microwave, carpets were stained and filthy and under furniture was honestly horrific (Tissues and muck under the main bed) In a time when extra cleaning is required, this management company failed at the first hurdle of basic cleaning! On raising this with the Coast and Country, they said they would send someone for a re-clean (ha ha!) which coincided with our dinner reservation (pre-booked weeks before due to covid) so given we were not prepared to stay in the the muck there was not other option but to clean it ourselves My wife and I spend hours cleaning the place to make it habitable - not a great way to start your holiday. As a matter of interest whilst in place we spoke to an owner of another flat, who had recently removed his flat from the rental market due to the complaints he was getting (re cleanliness). After the holiday we sent a constructive letter to both the management company and owner. All we got back was a form letter from Sykes, with a 75£ voucher of the next holiday (Are you serious????) and NO reply from the owner. If we had arrived at a cared for/ clean property would we go back ? - Yes but would look to rent the top units No 11 and 12 to remove the upstairs noise (base on thin ceilings) Would we go back now - No chance in hell!!

Wonderful views across the beach and sea. Very convenient for walks on the beach, rock pools and (when the sun appears) a bit of sunbathing. Outdoor pool was great for our kids.

  • "We loved the apartment and were very pleased with the location and how well it was equipped."

And we loved the fact that there was a file explaining things and advising that we could borrow any of the outdoor equipment if we wanted to. The children loved the pool and made use of it everyday. The only things we would suggest is that the net curtains in both the twin rooms be replaced as they were a little tired. There wasn't a bedside light in the bedroom on the left next to the front door, so we borrowed one from the main bedroom. But we did wonder if it was meant to be in the small room anyway, bur someone had moved it. We had a wonderful holiday

  • "I have already recommended this holiday to my friends."

We took three generations and everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The apartment was really comfortable. My mother spend many happy hours sitting on the sofa watching people and dogs playing on the beach. My son loved the heated swimming pool and the rock pools and my teenage daughter took lots of relaxing walks along the beach and the beach paths. (Which was just what she needed after taking her GCSEs.) I really enjoyed kayaking. We were able to hire a kayak or paddle board on the beach. We will definitely be going to Thurlestone Rock again and will probably see if we can take a couple of little dogs with us. It really was a dog friendly beach and in the week that we were there all of the dogs were off lead and we didn’t see one fallout.

The key code for the outside door to the apartments was out of date. A resident fortunately was on hand to let us in and tell us the correct code. Might be worth noting that mobile reception was only available outside - on top of the ridges.
